We are running a 4 part Reo Pōwhiri wānanga over the next 4 months with the support of Ngāti Rangi, Whiria Ngā hua ⛰️

8 years ago, just before the birth of my youngest son👶. I had fallen back into the space of kahuipō (depression).
My husband took me to this special spot 🏔.

The cleansing waters of my tupuna awa💧.

Here, I was able to release so much, so my baby and I would have an easy labor, and he would have a good start to life.
Two weeks later, our son was born, big and chunky.

I am grateful to my husband for these moments✨️🌿

Te Rau o Nuku is ecstatic to announce that Ngā Piki Amokura Reo Pōwhiri wānanga is happening again!

This series of wānanga will empower our wāhine māori to revitalise the art of reo pōwhiri, strengthening their knowledge and confidence while preserving our rich cultural heritage 🤩👏

Join us as we honour the mana of wāhine and carry this taonga forward for generations to come.

Mai i te Kāhui Maunga ki Tangaroa,

Our three wānanga will be held at Waiouru Marae, Matahiwi Marae and Te Ao Hou Marae.

I was lucky enough to spend the day with my sons kura. We went out to Bushy Park Homestead, just outside of Whanganui. Our topic today was Rongoā Māori. Sharing the matauranga I have with our tamariki is very important to me, it is a Rongoā for me. My ngākau is full ❤️🌿
