Whanganui Skin Centre Specializing in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of all types of skin cancer, our clinic is committed to your skin's health and your overall well-being.

We also treat a variety of skin problems including acne, eczema, psoriasis and moles. Scott is US trained Physician Associate with 20+ yrs of experience who specializes in disease of the skin and skin cancer. Scott has performed over 20,000 skin biopsies, 2,500 surgical excisions and began using Dermoscopy and photography in daily practice in 2013. Scott is a fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) and New Zealand Physician Associate Society (NZPAS).

An incredible turnout for our free spot check night - we had around 150 people come through the doors!

From this, we identified over 20 non-melanoma skin cancers and 2 suspected invasive melanomas.

Early detection like this truly makes a difference.

What is a Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)?

Basal cell skin cancers are the most common type of skin cancer in New Zealand. With our strong sun, they are something to take seriously.

BCCs often start as a small, shiny bump or scaly patch that doesn’t heal. They tend to grow slowly and rarely spread, but if left untreated they can cause significant local damage.
