13/02/2026
Hope & Co. would like to share a short update about some planned changes to our service.
Since opening in early September, we’ve welcomed many people seeking support, connection, and a safe place to be. As part of establishing a new service, we completed a scheduled early review to help us strengthen and realign our kaupapa.
Free Meal Service Ending – 22 February 2026
The free meal service provided between 3pm and 5pm will finish on 22 February 2026. (Some people may know this as Hapori Kai.)
A huge mihi to our staff, volunteers, and kai donation partners who supported the service and helped provide around 8,000 free meals over the past year. Your aroha and manaakitanga have meant so much to our community.
Hope & Co. Reset Week – 23 February to 3 March
Hope & Co. will be closed for a short reset week from 23 February to 3 March.
During this time we will:
• refresh the café space
• grow our team’s peer led practice through learning and development
• strengthen our support approach
Hope & Co. Reopening – 4 March 2026
Hope & Co. will reopen on 4 March 2026 with a stronger focus on being a:
• non clinical, peer led support space
• safe alternative for people experiencing any kind of distress — emotional, social, wellbeing related, or otherwise
• calm, welcoming place grounded in manaakitanga and lived experience support
Hope & Co. is not a kai service, so free meals will no longer be provided from this date.
Our hours will remain the same:
Wednesday – Sunday, 3pm–9pm
Ngā mihi nui,
Hope & Co team
