Yesterday & today’s little CO2 laser update ✨

I’ve been down in Waihi visiting my youngest son over from Perth, so life has been a little more relaxed and casual the last couple of days 😊

My skin is now looking really shiny and soooo smooth. I still have a tiny bit of shedding happening in some areas, but most of the old skin has now come away.

You can really see that beautiful pink fresh skin coming through now 🩷 and the crazy thing is… that is ALL new skin!! Can you imagine it?!

The best part is the results will continue improving over the next few months as collagen keeps rebuilding and strengthening underneath 🙌

…well, until I decide to do it all again in about 6 weeks anyway 😉✨

Today’s CO2 laser update ✨

Different location today, beautiful weather, SPF 50 on and protecting this fresh new skin at all costs ☀️🩷

I’m still having little layers of skin slough off, mainly around my mouth and upper lip where we did a double pass to target those deeper lines and wrinkles. Those areas naturally take a little longer to heal because they had a more intensive treatment.

It’s honestly so satisfying watching the old damaged skin shed away day by day knowing fresh, smoother skin is underneath. Bye bye lines… bring on the new skin ✨

My skin still has that pink “post laser glow,” feels incredibly smooth, and every single day I’m noticing more improvements.

Day 5 CO2 laser update ✨

My skin is definitely entering the next stage of healing now, it’s pink like a little salmon 🩷 but honestly SO smooth… literally smooth as a baby’s bottom 😂

I still have a few little areas left to slough off, mainly around the edges and some stronger treatment areas, but overall the fresh new skin underneath is really starting to shine through.

There’s something so exciting about feeling your skin actively shedding and renewing itself. Every day you can see little changes happening, and it makes you so excited for the final result ✨

The pinkness is completely normal at this stage and will continue to settle over the coming weeks while collagen keeps rebuilding underneath the skin.

Today’s CO2 laser update ✨

The dead skin is really starting to slough off now and I can definitely see fresher skin coming through underneath. I’m still a bit red in some areas more than others, which is completely normal as different parts of the face heal at different rates.

My face still feels tight and quite dry, but the swelling has pretty much gone now 🙌

One thing I noticed this morning that made me SO happy — I could finally put my mascara on without having to manually lift my eyelid 😂 The puffiness around my eyes has settled down so much, which already makes everything feel fresher and more comfortable.

Even though you start noticing changes quite quickly, full results from Fractional CO2 laser take time as collagen continues rebuilding under the skin. Most people see ongoing improvements over the next 3–6 months, with skin continuing to tighten, smooth, and strengthen during that time ✨

Day 3 update ✨

My skin is definitely starting to dry out now and the old skin is beginning to slough off. I’m looking a little patchy, bronzed, and “dirty” in areas — this is completely normal during the healing phase of Fractional CO2 laser.

The patchiness happens because some areas of old damaged skin shed faster than others, while fresh new skin is already starting to come through underneath. Everyone heals at a slightly different pace, so the peeling and shedding can look uneven for a few days.

If you zoom in closely, you can actually see the tiny microscopic treatment dots from the laser. These are the controlled micro-channels created in the skin during treatment, which stimulate collagen production and skin renewal while leaving surrounding skin intact to help speed up healing ✨

The good news is it’s actually not sore at all, it just feels a little dry and tight.

Well… today I look like I went 12 rounds with a bee hive 🐝😂 (checkout 2nd pic)

Very puffy eyes, swollen face, still red… but honestly? I feel great.

This is Day 2 after C02 Fractional Laser, and swelling is a completely normal part of the healing process. The laser creates controlled injury in the skin, which triggers inflammation, increased blood flow, and fluid movement into the tissues while the skin repairs itself and starts building fresh collagen.

Now… did the couple of wines last night and NOT sleeping elevated help the situation? Absolutely not. 🍷🤣

Alcohol and lying flat can both increase fluid retention, especially around the eyes, today’s “extra deluxe puffiness” is partially self-inflicted. The good news is the swelling usually improves once you’re upright, moving around, and letting the fluid drain naturally.

Underneath all this swelling though, the regeneration process is well underway, and over the next few days the skin will calm, peel, and reveal fresher, smoother skin underneath. ✨
