UPDATE: It's just our page that's moving, not the actual shops! North Haven Hospice is going to give this page some timeout 😊. It's a small team that looks after our social media and are going to concentrate all our news, updates and activity on the North Haven Hospice page until further notice. This will help us connect the fundraising activities of our retail shops with the purpose and cause of caring for and supporting the dying, their families and whānau in our Whangārei and southern Kaipara communities. Don't worry - all our shop news will continue including our Tuesday Treasures on the other page. If you haven't already followed us on North Haven Hospice, head over and do so now!

North Haven Hospice is delighted to be the beneficiary for the Classic 100 2024! We love this event so much a number of our staff take up the challenge and enter a team to walk, jog or run 100 km's during March. We need to fundraise almost $8,000 every day to make up the shortfall between government funding and keeping our support and care free. If you'd like to make a donation but don't know anyone doing the Classic 100, jump in here and make your pledge! If you're supporting Hayley, Vanessa, Maureen, Morgan, Miriam, Tony, Bill or Sue, make your donation here too.

Participating in Classic 100 Northland 2024 (previously 90 More Miles).

Turning second-hand goods into first-class care!

North Haven Hospice Shops (in Whangarei CBD and Waipu) contribute to North Haven Hospice’s fundraising efforts to cover the gap between the Government funding received and the actual cost to provide our specialist care and support for local people facing the end of life and during bereavement.

North Haven Hospice, Te Korowai Humarie, provides specialist palliative care for people living with any life-limiting illness, and support for their families/whanau and carers.

Hospice is about quality of life, helping patients live every moment in whatever way is important to them. Our care is holistic, embracing people’s physical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual needs.

We are a community resource and there is no charge for our service, which is available to anyone in the entire Whangarei District and the south-east of Kaipara District including Mangawhai, Maungaturoto, Kaiwaka, Topuni and Oruawharo - a total area of 3150 square-kilometres and with a population of 100,000.
