Heartfelt Senders invite you to create a Christmas card for someone in need of a little extra love and cheer this festive season
These cards will be given to local care home residents and social support services to pass on to those who may not receive much at Christmas. Its all about spreading love and cheer!
It’s easy!
Buy or make a Christmas card and fill it with a heartfelt message
-Cards can be any shape, size and skills ability. Be creative! They can also be shop brought (just remember to write in them).
-Please address each card ‘To Someone Special’ or ‘Dear friend’ etc and sign the card using your name or ‘from a Friend’ or ‘Someone who cares’ etc.
-Please write a message in each card. This can include a favourite holiday memory, a festive joke or poem. You could share your favourite recipe or a kind message of joy and love.
-Cards do NOT need an envelope. If an envelope is included, please leave it unsealed as we check all cards first.
-As we don’t know the person who will receive the card, please don’t include any religious messaging. Remember to keep it kind and mutual.
-Please do not include any personal details such as your phone number or return address.
-Please do not include any items such as money or lotto tickets or anything of value.
-Groups are welcome to take part. Get your classroom, workplace, book club, Scout/Guide groups together and make/write a bunch of cards. The more cards the more cheer!
All cards need to be returned to a Drop box by Wednesday 17th of December.
There are currently two drop boxes set up!
-Whangārei Central Library, Rust Ave, CBD.
-Kensington Health, in the Kensington shopping area, 8 Kensington Ave.
