February is all about Healthy Manawa (Physical and Emotional Hearts)

Our hearts are the pump that keep us alive!
If they dont work properly our bodies are in trouble.

Our Manawa are also the center of life and emotion, and need caring for and nurturing to sustain our waiora.

This month we will be sharing tips and education on maintaining good physical heart health.

We will also be taking part in a project to raise awareness of domestic violence/family harm in Aotearoa, as this is an important aspect of protecting our Manawa also.

If you are needing someone to talk to about feelings that come up this month our team is here to help you, call and speak to our nursing team and we will get your sorted in the right direction or call Healthline on 0800 611 116 if after hours.

ManageMyHealth data breach update.

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner has requested a coordinated approach to the ManageMyHealth data breach. For this reason, the ManageMyHealth team is leading and managing the notification process with affected users.

Unfortunately, we do not have access to information that allows us to advise people directly.

It is likely that some of our patients may have been affected by this data breach as we previously used ManageMyHealth.

If you are affected, ManageMyHealth will contact you directly, advise you on next steps, and provide appropriate support.

The notification process began on Thursday 8 January and is expected to take up to one week to complete due to the size and scale of the breach.

ManageMyHealth has provided answers to common questions, including why communication timing can vary and what terms such as “accessed” mean. This information is available here:
www.managemyhealth.co.nz/faqs-cyber-breach

We understand this may be stressful. We are here to hear your concerns and will continue to update you as we receive more information.

If you are feeling distressed, you can also contact 1737 to speak with a trained counsellor, or book in with our Health Coaches and Health Improvement Practioner.
