To the homeschooling Mummas om my page.... I've been thinking about you and this journey we are on.
Let’s be honest, homeschooling can feel like a lot.
The planning, the teaching, the constant balancing act between your work, your home, and your child’s learning.
Here’s the truth I’ve learned over the years: you don’t have to do it all.
Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is outsource strategically to create more space for what matters most.
A few years ago, I started outsourcing just one online class each week for my daughter.
It provided structure, variety, and a fresh burst of curiosity for both of us.
It worked so well that I decided to share my own skills, creating courses that help other families find that same sense of balance and joy in learning.
If you’re not familiar with my background, I’ve been teaching in the social sciences for decades, including psychology, sociology, and business studies, at universities across New Zealand and abroad.
And honestly? It’s been so much fun!
After years of teaching in universities, it’s refreshing to focus purely on learning, not testing.
To explore ideas, spark curiosity, and see students light up when something clicks.
The feedback from families and students has been so encouraging; here’s what they’ve said:
“Such a great course, thank you for running it! It’s blimmin’ interesting stuff. No homework (phew!), just an hour a week thinking about genuinely engaging ideas.”
“I’ve always loved this topic, and hearing you talk about it has only deepened that love.”
“This psychology course has been awesome and really useful for my studies. I really enjoyed the discussions; I'm definitely keen to do another! ”
This is why I’m so passionate about what I do.
I’ve spent decades studying and teaching human behavior, and one thing I know for sure is that we are hard-wired to learn.
When we’re curious about a topic, learning becomes easy, natural, and even fun.
That’s what Curious Minds Learn is all about: creating spaces where curiosity leads the way, and confidence grows as a result.
If you want…
1️⃣ A structure that lightens your load.
Outsource this to me. Just one hour a week brings rhythm and focus to your homeschool routine, while you enjoy knowing your teen is being guided by an experienced educator.
2️⃣ Learning to feel alive.
Each of these courses is evidence-based and designed to introduce new ideas, spark curiosity, and encourage critical thinking, helping students connect concepts and see learning in a whole new way.
3️⃣ A community that values curiosity and quality questions.
Your teen will connect with other curious learners, ask thoughtful questions, and discover that learning is so much richer when it’s shared.
4️⃣ To feel like you’re doing enough.
These courses aren’t about doing more; they’re about doing what matters.
They bring structure, inspiration, and support into your week, so you can exhale knowing your teen is learning, growing, and thriving… and you’re already doing enough.
5️⃣To secure access to these courses while you can.
I’m not yet sure what my schedule looks like for next year, so I may not be able to offer these same courses again.
By enrolling now, you secure lifetime access to this resource, meaning your teen can revisit and “spiral back” to the concepts whenever they wish.
(I know for certain that Through the Jungle: The Sociology of Jane Goodall will not return in term. I have plans to introduce a new inspiring figure next year).
⏰ Enrolments close Friday, 25 October
Term 4 begins Tues, 28 October, and this is your last chance to join before doors close.
Special Bonus, Valued at $199 (Yours Free!)
When you enroll this week, you’ll also receive six weeks of live parent connection and support, completely free.
These Weekly Wednesday Parent Zooms (6:00–6:45 pm NZDT) are not another task to add to your list. It is 100% optional midweek check-in.
A relaxed space where you can:
• Connect with me and other homeschooling parents.
• Ask questions about what your teen is learning.
• Share wins, challenges, and ideas.
• Feel supported and reminded that you’re not doing this alone.
Because when Mum's feel connected, the teens thrive and learning becomes something the whole family grows through together.
Here’s a reminder of this term’s courses.
*Jane Goodall: A Sociological Journey Through the Jungle
* Introduction to Psychology: The Three Big Questions
* Master Your Mind: CBT Strategies for Learning & Success
Remember, all calls are recorded, and all the resources are in a Google Classroom, so you don’t even need to make the live sessions.
Even as I type all this out, I seriously can’t believe the value on offer this term.
At university, the courses I teach cost thousands, and here you’re getting that same level of evidence-based, engaging teaching for a fraction of the price.
It’s an absolute no-brainer!
So if you’d love to join me for Term 4, now’s the time.
I’ll add you to the Facebook group to introduce yourself AND we officially start NEXT WEEK Tuesday 28th Oct.
Enrollments close TOMORROW Friday, 24 October.
DM or drop a comment below and I’ll send the details.
I'd love to welcome into the group! Let's finish 2025 strong!
