‼️Dear residents, families and whānau,
We would like to inform you with that MediMap, the digital medication management platform utilised by Hummingbird House and Hospital
facilities has been placed into maintenance mode following a suspected cyber incident.
To address this, we have temporarily transitioned to manual medication management
processes. Our teams are working diligently to ensure that all residents continue to receive
the highest standard of care without disruption.
MediMap is widely used across New Zealand to streamline prescribing, pharmacy
dispensing, and medication administration in care environments, including aged residential
care, disability services, hospices, and community health settings.
We are closely monitoring the situation and remain in communication with MediMap, the
Aged Care Association, and Health NZ officials. The safety and wellbeing of our residents is
our utmost priority, and we are committed to following all guidance provided by these trusted
organizations.
We will continue to keep you updated as the situation evolves.
Please be assured that our staff are thoroughly trained in manual medication handling
procedures and remain dedicated to upholding the highest standards of care during this
period. We will share further updates as soon as new information becomes available.
