North Health Community Update ✨
Dear Families & Whānau,
We’re committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care at Hummingbird House and Hospital. Here’s what’s happening:
Key Updates:
• Dining: Our main hot evening meal is now served closer to 4:30 PM, followed by a lighter supper & tea later.
• Parking at Tui House: A new dedicated disabled parking spot is being created at the rear. Please park alongside the retaining wall while markings are completed to keep ambulance access clear.
• Volunteers: Police-vetted “Work Ready” trainees will be visiting on Thursdays & Fridays to gain experience and provide extra companionship.
Our 2026–2027 Plan includes:
• Investing in staff training & qualifications
• Growing clinical leadership
• Enhancing health & safety policies
• Exploring a new dementia day respite service
Facility Improvements:
• Roof maintenance underway
• Brand-new thermostatic heaters installed
• Windows repaired for better warmth & comfort
• Upgrading to a new state-of-the-art call bell system
