As we head into the Festive Season, we want to pause and acknowledge the people at the heart of our mahi — the whānau, tangata whaiora, hapori, kuia and kaumātua, Rangatahi, Iwi and hapū and partners who have connected with Ngā Manga Pūriri throughout the year.

To those working on the frontline of AOD, gambling harm, and mental health support — your mahi is needed. Standing alongside whānau in hard moments takes strength and integrity. We acknowledge you.

Our tari will be closed from 19 December to 12 January. New Referrals will open again from the 26th January 2026. We will remain contactable by phone during this time for our current tangata whaiora. Please call us directly on 0800 433 288.

Please travel safely, check in on one another, and take time to rest where you can.

For some whānau, summer brings financial pressure, heightened emotions, and increased exposure to alcohol and other substances. Old patterns can resurface, stress can build. If this resonates, know you’re not alone. Reach out to whānau or call for help Lifeline: Call 0800 543 354 or free text HELP (4357) for confidential support from a qualified counsellor or trained volunteer.

He Mihi
We also acknowledge our Rōpū Whakahaere for their steady leadership and ongoing commitment to the well-being of our communities. Your guidance strengthens the kaupapa we carry.

We look forward to reconnecting in the new year and continuing our mahi together. We are very excited to be welcoming new kaimahi to our team in the new year and introducing them all to you in the coming months.

Kia tau te rangimārie, kia haumaru te haere,
