Always stays in these four walls!!! 🗝️🎼

I do have a lot of tools that I use within a massage session and they are great and allow me to work smarter not harder. But sometimes I use none at all. It’s just me, my hands, and you and our breathing.

The nervous system can never be rushed. A client can be on the bed for a whole hour and then right at the end there is that very special “sigh”. This signals that they have finally let go.

Other times it happens straight away.

In fact as soon as you walk into this space, at times, your body recognises “it’s here that I can rest ….soften”.

It’s not a race to get to this enlightened moment where you are a peice of jelly, it’s always a moment in time to recognise where your body is at and what your nervous system needs.
Holy hecka sometimes you don’t even know what your body needs…. and that’s ok too.
We work together. Open dialogue and a gentle trust, in me, and your body, over time.

When you come in for a massage once a month over a few months, we’re not just chasing short-term relief—we’re actually working together to create longer-lasting change in your body.

At the beginning, the focus is usually on easing pain and tension. You might feel looser, sleep better, and notice some relief—but things can still creep back in between sessions. That’s completely normal. Your body is used to holding those patterns.

As we keep going, your body starts to respond more deeply. The tension doesn’t build up as quickly, movements feel easier, and your nervous system begins to settle. You’re not just getting relief after a massage—you’re starting to feel better between sessions too.

Then, over time, something really shifts.

Once we’ve worked through the main areas of pain and your body isn’t holding that constant tension anymore, we don’t need to focus so much on “fixing.” That’s when we can move into more relaxation-based massage.

And that’s a really nice place to be.

Instead of always chasing tight spots, your sessions become about maintaining how good your body feels, supporting your nervous system, and giving you space to properly switch off. It’s less about problem-solving and more about rest, reset, and overall wellbeing.

So the goal isn’t for you to need deeper or more intense work forever—it’s actually the opposite. We use those early sessions to get things under control, so eventually your body just needs support to stay balanced.

If this feels like something your body is ready for, you’re always welcome to book in when it feels right for you.

Had the best day with my boy and Mother Nature today. Coffee first and then a hike up a hill to the most insane views of paradise. Off to the waterfalls for a fresh dip. Home then a dip in the avo in the ocean. Dinner was Coconut Curry Dahl, our favourite.
It really was the perfect day.
Tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Some people never get to make it to 30, 40 or 50 or beyond. So I’m hell bent on creating the most incredibly delicious life I can. Dropping all the bu****it and all the chaos we can get caught up in when you lose sight of what’s most important. I’m proud of the woman I see before me in the mirror today. Imperfect but perfectly true to herself. I ain’t sweating the small stuff anymore and my energy is carefully placed into the people who mean the most to me in my life. If you love me with respect and honesty, that’s what you get back from me. This lifetime is so short. All the stuff I used to think was so important no longer matters. I’m just over here in my own little world doing me. That’s what matters the most now. ❣️🪷🤍🐚🪸

Do you know what keeps me humbled? Having clients in that with their whole heart; trust in my skills and knowledge. This man puts his health first every month and is so open to what I offer as a massage therapist. Every new tool I purchase, from my Gua-Shas to my sound bowls and chimes, he lets me explore with an open heart and an open mind. He is always curious and grateful and talks with respect and kindness about the positive experiences at Blue Sea Massage to others and has referred people to me over the years here in Cooks. He is a little quirky just like me and doesn’t give a fluff what people think or say. He is a true gem of a client and friend. Thank you Warren for showing up for yourself in everything you do. I appreciate you so much. Thanks for allowing me to explore all the dimensions of energy and frequency with you. It has been full of fun and giggles, some tears, honest and real conversations and allowed me to grow in so many ways too. 🙏🏻🔥🪷🌼💝

This not a sympathy post.
These are massage hands working hard since I got back from Thailand.
I am for the first time in 16 years; getting sore thumbs. The only thing I’m doing differently is lifting heavier weights at the gym. It could even be a menopause thing although I’m definitely out the other side of that journey and feeling strong and unf**kwithable.
To add another layer I burnt my thumb and finger on the coffee machine steamer wand … I was trying to blast a fly that landed on the bench lol.
Anyway, for self care I’m K-tape strapping on my “hands off” moments and putting my hands into an ice bucket regularly. Please bare with me if at the end of the day I decrease the length of your massage. I feel like it’s the only way to keep my flow going for me and for you.
I’d rather try and keep quality over quantity but this is my peak time so iv gotta keep going.
Everything else is good … brain, emotions, vitality, nutrition, supplements oh and hydration hydration hydration. Loving the hydration drops and powders. Game changers. green powder and CMD mineral drops.
It’s the most rewarding career but it’s also hard work looking after myself and all the people who come through my doors. I don’t want to break my body while fixing yours, so I’m using all the tried and trusted tools I know and love to keep me in the game.
Don’t get me wrong I ain’t stopping anytime soon cause massage is the love of my life and my gift changes lives.
I guess it’s an appreciation post. I appreciate you keeping me busy. I appreciate me too. See you soon … 𝘑𝘰𝘑𝘰@ 𝘉𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴

During knee replacement surgery, the infrapatellar branch of the saphenous nerve is commonly cut or disturbed, which is why many people experience numbness or altered sensation around the front and inner knee afterward.

Massage and cupping cannot reconnect a severed nerve, but they can support the body and nervous system in ways that often help sensation softly return or reorganise over time.

Here’s how they help:

• Increase circulation

Cupping and massage improve blood and lymph flow to the area, supporting tissue health and the environment nerves need to heal.

• Reduce scar and fascial restriction

Post-surgical scar tissue can tether layers of fascia and dull nerve signalling. Cupping gently lifts and separates tissues, while massage softens adhesions that may be inhibiting sensation.

• Stimulate sensory input to the brain

Even numb areas still send some signals. Gentle, varied touch (pressure, temperature, texture) helps the brain remap the knee and improve sensory awareness — a process called sensory re-education.

• Calm protective guarding

Slow, non-threatening touch tells the nervous system the area is safe. When protection eases, nerve signals can travel more freely.

People often notice tingling, warmth, buzzing, or changing sensation during or after treatment — signs the nerve is being stimulated and communication is improving.

The goal isn’t to force feeling back, but to create the right conditions for awareness, circulation, and neural communication to return at the body’s own pace.

Nerve healing is gradual — and gentle input makes the biggest difference.

Id like to take a moment of appreciation for my fellow employee, 2.I.C. , Chief Soundscape Artist and all round cool chick Kaya.
If you have been a client here in the past you would have shared in the privilege of a wee greeting as you walk through the doors of our studio and also a wee boop on the nose as your settling yourself face down on the table.
Kaya then settles on her bed once she knows you’re comfortable and proceeds to snore and bubble away in the background, creating a relaxing atmosphere all by herself for the next hour.
So many clients love her and always comment on how the cacophony that she produces helps them relax.
For me, my studio doesn’t feel complete without my little chocolate Staffy by my side. She has been my constant companion for 14years.
Who knows how much time we have left together, so everyday I treasure.
My little right-hand girl
My stinky-butty
My Sherman-jerman
My faffy-waffy
I love you to bits, every little inch of your rollypolly belly and your triple-beat tail to your little white chin whiskers …. My best friend forever.
love Mumma 🐶💝
