I am also part of the Local Search & Rescue Team. Today we have been at the Whitianga Emergency Services Gala Day today, fundraising and showing the local community what we do 👍🏻🤩.
We only have minimal government support and volunteers have to purchase their own search equipment such as boots, emergency tent, sleeping mats, food etc.
All our funds that we raise go to maintenance of our base, mobile search base/trailer and vehicle.
