If you’ve been following my journey for a while, you know that so much of my life has changed over the last few years. In 2022, everything shifted. My marriage ended, I moved from my home of 20 years, my retail business closed, and the life I had known so well was altered in every imaginable way. I’ve moved 4 times in the last 4 years, after living in the same house for over 20. I knew the first move was temporary, a stepping stone until I could figure out what was next. When I landed in Asheville in December of 2023, I thought I had found where I was meant to be, yet I remained in a place of transition as I was building my life and career all over again. 2024 brought new friends and opportunities, and a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love that gave me a renewed sense of joy and trust. And just when I felt that glimpse of ease and contentment, the Universe not-so-gently reminded me that everything changes.
