I always knew I wanted to make a difference...

I always knew I wanted to make a difference, I just didn’t know it would be this way. I became a happy birth doula during my second pregnancy. My first birth was traumatizing, unfortunately, so was my second. From the beginning, I realized I wasn’t your typical doula. Sure, everyone can support a mum who wants to go all natural and have a home-birth or birth center birth. I had a natural hospital birth with my first, but it wasn’t until my second birth, which ended in an emergency (life or death) cesarean, that I realized the judgement and shaming so many deal with... that I was now dealing with.

I realized, that I just wanted my families to be confident- in whatever they choose. Forget what everyone else says or how everyone else feels, make a decision and be confident in that decision. A few years later, I came into bereavement births my chance. A sweet little 19 weeker opened my heart to serving others during loss. Since her birth and death, my main focus has been bereavement. It is not ever easy, but it is so worth it. Placenta services came only recently, after doing an in person internship with a then local doula, I fell in love- and this has become another main focus of my business.

I have a servant heart. I am a giver. I love bartering services, and swapping and trading for services rendered. I believe where there is a will there is a way. I believe in making a difference- even if it is for one person, one time.
