This summer, we open a sacred space to wlk the ancient path of the Shipibo and their profound shamanic healing traditions. 🌿

A Shamanic Dieta is a commitment. A deep listening. A remembering.

While dieting a Master Plant, you enter into a sacred relationship with nature guided by powerful holistic plant teachers that work gently and profoundly on body, mind, and spirit. The Dieta is a true test of your virtues: patience, humility, discipline, courage. And in return, it offers clarity, healing, and transformation from the inside out.

In the Summer of 2026, we are offering three-week Shamanic Dietas for those who feel called to step into this journey.

For seekers who wish to go even deeper, you may book consecutive programs and diet a Master Plant for a total of 9 weeks an immersive initiation into the wisdom of the plants.

Dear All,

In 2009, we were fortunate to meet Papa Horacio in the jungle.

As many of you know, a deep friendship was formed, and thanks to Horacio, we were able to make Ani Shinan shine. Over all these years, we were blessed by his Ikaros, received much healing, and gained valuable knowledge along the way.

His chants are unforgettable, and we also called him the "Jukebox." Hundreds of people have been touched by the songs of Papa Horacio, and through us, he lives on. We will not stop chanting his name and his Ikaros.

Some of you have also done dietas with Papa Horacio or met him in Switzerland. What a gift!

We had the honor of welcoming Papa Horacio twice, the last time two years ago. That was also his farewell journey. Shortly afterward, he retired to enjoy his well-deserved rest and spend more time with his family.

Unfortunately, Horacio fell ill a few months ago. His family and we tried in various ways to help and heal him. However, his body was too tired, and he chose to embark on his final journey.

We cannot find the words to express how incredibly grateful we are that our paths crossed and that we were able to walk, dance, and sing together for so many years.

We miss him, and we remember him with a blessed heart.

We pray for his family and send them strength, love, and light.

Thank you, Horacio – Thank you, Shipibos – Thank you, Ani Shinan.

As we learn to navigate our ceremonies, we are also in constant preparation for the big ceremony of life. And while our Maloka is the sacred space for nightly transformations and connection with spirit, during daytime it can serve as a place of celebration as well.

Here we are celebrating the successful completion of the master plant dieta of four brave souls with a traditional meal. We all sit together for a while, chitchat and laugh, commemorating on our time together, before the participants embark on the new adventure awaiting them as the leave Ani Shinan. Now integration begins. We are happy to see them leave with a new sense of self and strength in their heart.

Jungle walk in rainy season. 😊 We live in an area that gets flooded every now snd then during the rainy season. So this jungle walk to visit the various medicine trees in the forest on Ani Shinan land challenged us to pay extra attention as to where we put our feet. 🦶 And it made us think of how different life must be when instead of rubber boots, on wears the knowledge navigating life in pure nature through the seasons. How about reawakening a sense for that? How about reconnecting with your human nature in its pure, raw form and channeling your life in alignment with it, with nature? Life is wild and so are you. And from all this wildness, harmony flows. A stay on Ani Shinan can support you to step into this wilderness and find harmony within yourself.
