For us, each retreat will always be unique. 🌿

Offering a program goes beyond facilitating an encounter with the medicine, there will always be moments when unique doors to life itself open for us, to connect with nature, with the community, and with ourselves.

It's usual, and this time was no exception, for nature to provide us with the ideal conditions for a trip by the river. The water accompanied us in our cleansing and renewal and helped us remember how to flow in the healing process.

We were also invited to the birthday celebration of a child from the neighboring community. Sharing with the people was a reminder of the simplicity, joy, and unity that sustain the human spirit. Our guest expressed deep gratitude for this experience, which goes beyond the ceremony.

Our work will always be to hold the space so that people can open themselves with trust to the call of the Jungle and its medicines in a safe, loving, and connected environment.

🌱✨ Una nueva oportunidad de vida para un viejo amigo que no se ha dejado derrotar a pesar del abandono✨🌱

Como servidores de la Medicina, creemos que practicar la sanación es también participar en el cuidado integral de la vida, tanto humana como animal hasta lo que nos sea posible. Este perrito nos recordó la importancia de la compasión y la unión para servir a otros seres y nuevamente, que sanar a otros es sanarnos a nosotros mismos 🙏🏼

Conoce la historia de Lucky 🐕‍🦺:

Hace unas semanas, una de nuestras huéspedes nos pidió asistencia para ayudar a un perro adulto abandonado y herido que encontró en las calles de Iquitos. Antes de iniciar nuestro retiro fuimos en su búsqueda, lo localizamos en condiciones muy delicadas: estaba débil, con hambre y lleno de heridas. Su mirada llena de resignación nos conmovió profundamente y claro que no pudimos dejarlo ahí, así que lo rescatamos y ahora está en la selva bajo nuestro cuidado.

Gracias a nuestra huésped 🙏🏼, pudimos brindarle al perro una atención veterinaria inicial exitosa gracias también al apoyo de la Veterinaria SOS en la ciudad de Iquitos y a la atención en sitio a cargo del Dr. Maurer Dener Castro. Procuramos darle lo mejor en medicamentos, cuidados, alimentación y por supuesto, mucho amor. Sin embargo, su recuperación ha requerido de varios tratamientos médicos y cuidados que sobrepasaron ya nuestras posibilidades actuales.

El progreso fue lento pues la condición de Lucky era muy mala y desafortunada. A simple vista solo estaba sumamente desnutrido, olía muy mal y tenía heridas en dos de sus patas. Una vez que esas heridas sanaron, nos dimos cuenta que aun no lograba ponerse de pie con facilidad, tenía una pata dislocada y le dolía mucho. Con un tratamiento muy completo pudo ponerse de pie y caminar un poco más. Lo pudimos bañar y poner guapo y él ponía de su parte con un buen apetito, así que casi cantamos victorias.

Desafortunadamente, tuvo una recaída y ha estado nuevamente postrado sin poder caminar, una sus viejas heridas se volvió a abrir y se comenzó a agusanar. Lucky necesita nuevamente de nuestra ayuda y no es momento para rendirnos.

Estamos convencidos de que este camino nos desafía a poner en práctica lo que hemos entendido sobre la compasión y el cuidado hacia otros, y este viejo amigo es nuestro recordatorio de que todos los seres merecen siempre nuevas oportunidades para sanar y volver a vivir con dignidad.

Maestra Juanita Romayna Valle

Juanita Romayna is a medicine woman from Pucallpa who has dedicated her life to walk hand in hand with the ancestral wisdom of the Ayahuasca and other master plants of the Amazon. Her story does not begin in a single specific moment, but in several crucial and profound moments since her childhood, when she began to be instructed in the encounter with sacred plants and the spirits of nature.

Guided by her grandparents, Shipibo masters of tradition, she learned through dieting together with them at the age of eight, to recognize the immense power within the jungle. Her learning was not only a dedication to learning, but also a profound initiaton: diets and internal teachings that helped her overcoming the most difficult trials: a very serious illness and the death of two of her children. Trials that, beyond defeating her, further strengthened her spirit and opened her heart.

Today, Juanita acompanies spiritual seekers into the realms of the Ayahuasca ceremonies and Master Plant Diets, holding a space of trust, care, and respect. Her way of guiding is characterized by the warmth, gentleness, and maternal firmness necessary to open paths of deep healing in a safe space.

More than a guide, she recognizes herself as an eternal apprentice of Mother Medicine, whom she calls The Mother of the Jungle. Her mission is to remind each person that true power lies within their heart, and that Ayahuasca is not an end, but a door to reconnect with the authenticity of one's soul.

With humility, love, strength, and gratitude, Juanita continues to share this path, honoring her master grandparents, the Earth, the Medicine, and life itself.
