Hidden trans fats are still found in many products: frozen pastries, margarines, microwave popcorn, fast food and industrial baked goods. Even a small portion can significantly increase inflammation and disrupt cholesterol levels.
Look for phrases like “partially hydrogenated oils” on labels — this is a clear sign of trans fats. Prefer butter over margarine, choose baked instead of fried foods, and limit industrial pastries.
