From what I’ve witnessed through years of therapies, research and personal experiences with healing modalities, the Shipibo Master Plant Diet is definitely one of the most radical and transformative processes to be known. A diet or « Sama » as it is known in Shipibo, is more than what you can experience with one or many Ayahuasca ceremonies, or any other entheogen from around the world. THE ART OF FINDING HEALERS IN THE AMAZON

Working as facilitators in the Amazon is truly what we can qualify a “jungle”. Searching and finding the right healer to work with can be complicated and is a true mastery as you also have to be able to “see” what is happening through your shamanic vision and feel how energy is conducted.

In the immediate now, and the world of revelations that have been recently forthcoming concerning the Epstein files specifically, we are taking the opportunity to share with clarity and transparency, more about what it takes to find leaders with integrity within the medicine community.

The Shipibo Master Plant Dieta is an ancient and truly incredible technology, developed in the cradle of the Amazon jungle over untold millennia and generations, arriving to us today with the power to cure and heal many of the physical, mental, emotional and psycho-spiritual infirmities the average, modern human suffers from. When you diet a master plant, you not only ingest that plant, but you also abstain from many other foods, from s*xuality, from technology, from speaking, and from all the things we normally use to distract ourselves, so that our consciousness can be open, clear and unsullied by distraction, in order to tune into the frequency of our master plant, and receive it’s teachings, as well as those of the ayahuasca that is taken in conjunction.

These dietas should be administered and supervised by a qualified maestro or maestra. The Shipibo do not care for or use the word “shaman” but prefer maestro, meaning “master” or “teacher.” Traditionally, the title was not self-given, but is rather a title of honor bestowed by a community on one who has him or herself accumulated years of their own dietas, and has reached a level of mastery that allows them to administer dietas to others.

Having nearly a decade of combined living experience and working with the medicine in Peru, we have spent much time and energy, searching for the best maestros and maestras. In the world of ayahuasca there are many charlatans, opportunists, false prophets, deceivers, and outright black magicians. With any title of honor and power, comes great responsibility, and as with any other power structure, the maestro or maestra is also prone to succumbing to the vices of vanity, money, or s*xual opportunism. When we advise others on finding somewhere in Peru for ayahuasca we always say, “if you need a surgery, do you go to a doctor who seems nice? Niceness matters, but you also want to find someone with ethics, scruples and skill.” It’s no different in the world of Ayahuasca, so it is always our mission to share the medicine in the safest container we can create, beginning with the integrity of the maestros and maestras we work with. As well, we are also searching for a maestro or maestra that embodies the title of “teacher” and is open and keen to share the wisdom they have accumulated since their initiation into the world of medicine. Unfortunately, since the Shipibos came into contact with the westerners and “gringos” and that Ayahuasca became a healing quest internationally, many powerful “Cuaranderos and Curanderas” are losing their compass and have become mesmerized by the illusion of s*x, money and fame. Sometimes, it is simply that a healer gets too famous and lets go of the strict dieting, resting, and recharging because they become the money maker of a whole family and community, and sometimes they crumble under the pressure.

Our work is one of filtering and making sure that we can offer the safest space for our participants to experience the healing of the medicine. This leads us to to introduce you to a beautiful human, and shining young maestro we encountered in our work with ayahuasca in Costa Rica at the center Soltara, Maestro Soi Ochavano Lopez. Descending from the renowned lineage of the Ochavano clan, Soi carries forward the traditions of one of the oldest and most notorious Shipibo lineages. Soi is young, but already a powerful guide and vast resource of traditional amazonian medicine, and who is keen to teach and share his knowledge. He started to work with the medicine at the age of 17, guided by a long past lineage of great healers. He is committed to service and to share his authentic and powerful knowledge . He stands for integrity and truth, which, in these complicated times we live in, can be fraught with challenges, among the Shipibo being no exception.

Paulo Coelho: " Life is a long pilgrimage from fear to love."

Hello friends, greetings from the Peruvian North Coast. We are so happy to share that we have just completed the first offering of the Sacred Vibrations Pilgrimage, and we are still buzzing, still feeling all the energy of the experiences, the medicines of the ayahuasca, wachuma and cacao, the land, the sacred sites we visited, and connective spaces we reclaimed within ourselves and within the group.

It has truly been the journey of a lifetime, beginning in the upper selva jungle of Moyobamba, passing through the Andean corridor in Chachapoyas, Kuelap and Karajia, and finally descending to the coast Trujillo and Puerto Malabrigo. Not only did we pass through these physical spaces however, we each made our own internal passage, facing roadblocks, washouts, hurdles, blind corners, precipices, and pitch blackness. Each one found the vulnerability to be humble and learn from their missteps, each one found the strength to push through the discomfort, and each one found the courage to confront themselves, and emerge with new vision and purpose for their path.

We also learned about vibration through the lenses of geobiology and sacred geometry, recognizing our location in spacetime and ensoulment, and where we sit between micro and macro cosms, within both matter and spirit.

It was also a journey of reciprocity, honoring the land we walked upon at every step, offering our despacho, and creating lasting relationships with, and giving back to the communities we visited.

All in all, the ripples and emanations of this shared journey will echo forth into eternity. Remembering that the source of all creation is vibration, we can look back on what we created together, and always remember these Sacred Vibrations!

Bonjour à tous, salutations de la côte nord péruvienne ! Nous sommes ravis de vous annoncer que nous venons de terminer la première édition du Pèlerinage des Vibrations Sacrées. Nous sommes encore sous le coup de l'émotion, imprégnés de l'énergie des expériences vécues, des bienfaits de l'ayahuasca, du wachuma et du cacao, de la terre, des sites sacrés visités et des liens profonds que nous avons recréés en nous-mêmes et au sein du groupe.

Ce fut véritablement le voyage d'une vie, débutant dans la jungle de Moyobamba, traversant le corridor andin de Chachapoyas, Kuelap et Karajia, pour finalement rejoindre la côte à Trujillo et Puerto Malabrigo. Au-delà de ces espaces physiques, nous avons chacun entrepris un cheminement intérieur, surmontant obstacles, difficultés, impasses, précipices et moments d'obscurité totale. Chacun a su faire preuve d'humilité et tirer des leçons de ses erreurs, chacun a trouvé la force de surmonter le malaise, et chacun a trouvé le courage de se confronter à soi-même et d'en ressortir avec une nouvelle vision et un nouvel objectif pour son chemin.

Nous avons également exploré la vibration à travers le prisme de la géobiologie et de la géométrie sacrée, prenant conscience de notre place dans l'espace-temps et de notre essence spirituelle, et de notre positionnement entre les microcosmes et les macrocosmes, au sein de la matière et de l'esprit.

Ce fut aussi un voyage de réciprocité, un hommage rendu à la terre foulée à chaque pas, un don de notre âme, et la création de liens durables avec les communautés visitées, auxquels nous avons contribué en retour.

En définitive, les répercussions de ce voyage partagé résonneront à jamais. Puisque la vibration est à l'origine de toute création, nous pourrons contempler ce que nous avons accompli ensemble et toujours nous souvenir de ces Vibrations Sacrées !

This week, we want to share more about our featured artist Eduardo, presenting as Edzy Frequency. Eduardo Carvalho is a dear brother hailing from Cape Verde and Portugal, although he is a universal being and a true gift to humanity. You can find him on many platforms and he was generous enough to share two song for our album.
We had the joy and honor of sitting with Eduardo in Paoyhan and bearing witness to his song craft and soft, anchoring presence in the maloca. Eduardo has a long history as a musician in bands ranging from rock, reggae, experimental, fusion and his more recent artistic turn to medicine music, after beginning his medicine path. He has recently been seen performing at medicine music festivals in Europe and continues to grow and serve as a musician and healer, bringing his own unique musical medicine to the world.
Eduardo generously contributed two tracks to the album, “Gracias Madrecita,” and “Hold Our Hands,” the later of which he will be sharing a performance of in our next installment. One thing we get to know when we work closer with Ayahuasca, is that “She” is a mystery, a greater counciousness. Not one ceremony is the same and usually, we receive what we need and not what we desire or expect.

Although, one thing we know and experience when we drink this potent brew is the opening of a portal where we feel VIBRATIONS. Energy becomes visible, palpable and so present that you cannot deny that all that exists within and around you has a frequency.

When we approach an Ayahuasca ceremony as any counscious practice; meditation, yoga or mindfulness, we discover ways to work with energy, sound and vibrations in order to become the alchemist and the creator of our own reality.

In our 16 day Peruvian pilgrimage, SACRED VIBRATIONS, we will experience two Ayahuasca ceremonies, supported with the energy of the high jungle of Moyobamba, nestled between the Andes and the Amazon Forest. All participants will be prepared and led in a safe way so they can initiate this journey within the Great Mother Ayahuasca’s woumb to be reborn to themselves and to the world.

Welcome friends, medicine family and new listeners! We are so proud to announce the release of this beautiful project, a true labor of love that is the product of many months of planning, many late hours, many hands and voices, and the tremendous generosity of many gifted individuals. Here we offer the first of what we hope will be many such collections of songs, The Heart Of The Jungle Volume I, “Into The Heart Of The Jungle” !!!

As some of you know, The Heart Of The Jungle is a collective of medicine workers, dieteros, medical and psychiatric practitioners - and all of us dreamers! The mission of this collective is to learn of and keep the traditional practices and medicines of various indigenous peoples throughout South America and beyond. Beginning with the Shipibo of the Ucayali region of Eastern Peru, we are slowly expanding to learn these ancient ways that are being lost to modernity, and keep and preserve these traditions and technologies, while seeking to build on their foundations by adapting them to today’s world with today’s problems.

The Heart of the Jungle is currently offering guided and well facilitated Master Plant Dieta Retreats and individual guidance for medicine work, ceremonies and other collaborations for holistic retreats including Medicine Plants. We are building towards having our own center one day, to better serve our communities and those who seek to heal themselves with the incredible pharmacy of medicinal plants we are blessed to receive from the the Amazon Jungle. It is with this hope and dream in mind that we release this offering as a fund raiser towards meeting the goal of finding and purchasing the land that will become the home base for our services. While these funds will primarily recouping our cost to produce the album, any further proceeds will go towards building, maintenance and hosting our website, but the main thing we hope to gain from initiating this project, is greater visibility for our cause, while cross promoting our dear collaborators on this album.

This album is a collection of songs brought to you by a group of dieteros who have all dieted amongst the Shipibo. Hailing from across the world, each one brings a unique presentation, highlighting the diversity and individuality present within the collective whole. Here you will find pure icaros, sung by our maestro, Miguel Ochavano Urquia, as well as raw unaccompanied prayers and invocations, intimate acoustic tracks and full blown, full band elaborations.
