Awakening Spirit Wellness Center was born in 2004 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, through our hope vision of providing healing, tranquility and wellness to others through massage, yoga, sound therapy, holistic counseling, energy work and other complementary therapies designed to bring the mind and body into harmony, allowing each individual to experience and live life to the fullest, in a state of
peace, health and happiness. By listening to and trying to understand the needs and challenges of others for several years, we realized that providing our services can only go so far toward healing the conflicts of the soul. Many have deep-rooted issues that stem from childhood and beyond that they struggle with on a daily basis, and which manifest into chronic illness, addiction, depression, anxiety, and a host of other issues that a few massage sessions or even hours of counseling cannot begin to cure. And we ourselves struggled with our own demons for years while trying to bring relief and healing to others. Thus we were led to Peru to seek out the sacred medicine Ayahuasca, to see for ourselves if the claims of deep healing and transformation so highly-touted by many were actually true. We were not disappointed. To the contrary, we realized that this medicine has such a powerful potential to heal the mind, body and soul that we decided to expand Awakening Spirit into Peru, in order to be able to offer this beautiful healing sacrament, safely, legally and affordably to those who wish to experience it. We hope to share the beauty of Ayahuasca, as well as other complementary medicines such as San Pedro, Sacred Mushrooms, Kambo cleanse and Kundalini Yoga/Meditation, with as many of you as possible in the months and years to come. We have been blessed with the opportunity to work with some wonderful, highly-experienced and caring shamans and healers, and from our small and humble beginning in the beautiful Sacred Valley of Peru we desire to grow into a thriving self-sustaining community that will enrich and change the lives of all who visit us.
