Survival is no longer a choice,
To exist, one must fight hard with every voice.
It's early in the morning, after a long night,
Waking up takes him another quarter of the day to get the sight.

He fantasizes about being mentally well,
With no worries, no anxiety, nothing to tell.
Oh anxiety, you are killing my best friend,
Why take such a valuable resource? To what end?

Depression, you make his appearance look so scary,
The fear of unknown makes his life weary.
Every day he pleads you to leave,
But you never listen, you only deceive.

You torture him with fears of the worst,
Of feeling insufficient, unwanted, lonely and cursed.
He wants to study but can't concentrate,
He wants to interact but can't participate.

People are judgemental, he feels so alone.
They don't understand, they don't make his heart stone,
Their worries become hate speech
Even if their intentions are not to breach.
