Honoring Marilyn Pelis: A Legacy of Dedication and Compassion.
With deep sorrow, we remember Marilyn Pelis, a pioneering force in Papua New Guinea's optical care industry. Together with Dr. Korimbo, Marilyn helped establish Sed Optical Eye Care, making them among the first Papua New Guineans to open a private optometry practice. Their shared vision and tireless efforts brought essential eye care services to communities far and wide, changing lives and setting new standards in the field.
To Dr. Korimbo, Marilyn was more than just a colleague. She was like a sister—a trusted friend and partner who stood by his side as they worked together to fulfill their dream of making eye care accessible to all. The bond they shared, grounded in mutual respect and dedication, was an integral part of their success.
