////^ 1. Sore Shin ^///////
As per my post yesterday I will be explaining a bit on the above mentioned.
After vigorously running or training and you feel pain on the lower distal part of the lower leg or the middle part of the lower leg along the tibia bone than you might be experiencing shin soreness.
What happens is after continuously running or training the surrounding muscles experiences micro-tear in their attachment site with the tibia bone and that leads to swelling and pain.
Which can lead to the two injuries
1. Shin splint
2. Tibia stress fracture
Therefore should you experience soreness at first you can do the following to help yourself.
A. Reduce your training or running program
B. Check your footwear and wear the right footwear
C. Apply heat before training or running and apply ice after
D. Wear shin or calf support
E. Apply shin taping when running or training
Should you still experience pain or discomfort seek a Physiotherapist help to help you manage this issue.
Thank you, and watch out for 2. Patella Pain tomorrow.
