Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989): Time-Travel Locations
Directed by Stephen Herek and released on February 17, 1989, this sci-fi comedy became an instant favorite for its "most excellent" energy. Starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, the film took us on a wild ride through history, mostly filmed against the backdrop of the American Southwest.
Filming Location Highlight:
Primary Hub: Arizona, USA.
The Police Station: Located at 7337 E. 2nd St., Scottsdale, Arizona 85251.
The Scene: This is where Bill and Ted's historical figures (like Napoleon and Billy the Kid) end up after causing chaos in San Dimas.
Then vs. Now: While the movie is set in California, the actual building used was the Old Scottsdale City Hall. Today, the area has evolved into a vibrant part of Scottsdale’s Old Town, but the building's exterior still holds that nostalgic 80s charm for fans of the "Wyld Stallyns."
