⚠️ Harm to other people

The less alcohol you drink, the lower the risk.

If you don’t drink alcohol: don’t start!

Elimination of Trachoma - eye disease in PNG . 🇵🇬. Well done to everyone involved . 👏🏽😀

Congratulations to Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 for eliminating as a public health problem!

Trachoma is a leading cause of blindness globally. PNG eliminated the disease through robust surveillance and community intervention. This would not have been possible without the support of key donors and partners. Thank you to the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, The Fred Hollows Foundation, Brien Holden Vision Institute, Sightsavers, PNG Eye Care and several other organizations. The programme also benefited from scientific collaborations with PNG Institute of Medical Research , the Global Trachoma Mapping Project, the Collaborative Vision Foundation, Tropical Data and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine , among many others.
