Meddent & Fujifilm Host Successful FDC Analyser Webinar

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Fujifilm Dry Chemistry (FDC) Analyser Webinar held yesterday, May 22, 2025.

The session was a great success, with 68 participants from Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and Tokelau. The webinar focused on routine maintenance and troubleshooting tips for the FDC Analysers and was presented by Bap Imirop (Laboratory Application, Meddent), Sarah-Vali Houji (Senior Biomed Engineer, Meddent), and Kazuteru Nishijima (Field Service Engineer, Fujifilm Japan).

Meddent has been proudly distributing Fujifilm Dry Chemistry Analysers in the Pacific for over a decade, with more than 120 units installed. As Fujifilm’s authorised distributor, we meet strict standards for sales, marketing, and after-sales support.

Meddent Proudly Delivering Clean Solutions for a Healthier PNG.

Meddent is in the process of successfully completing the installation of nine medical incinerators in nine Provincal Health Authorities across Papua New Guinea, a vital project engagement by United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS).

This project was carried out in collaboration with our skilled Brian Bell Technical Services team to support safe and effective medical waste disposal in healthcare facilities.

Installations have been completed at six locations: Alotau in Milne Bay, Boram in East Sepik, Daru in Western Province, Kwikila in Central Province, Kavieng in New Ireland Province, and Popondetta in Oro Province.

Additional installations are scheduled for Kerema in Gulf Province, Buka in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, and Lorengau in Manus Province.

These installations mark a significant step forward in improving hygiene and public health infrastructure in our communities, ensuring harmful medical waste is treated responsibly and efficiently.

“This project highlights what’s possible when partners come together with a shared goal for better health outcomes,” says Todd McKenzie, General Manager of Meddent. “Medical incinerators are important for community health outcomes, and we are proud of playing our part in delivering safer and healthier communities throughout PNG”.

We thank UNOPS for their trust and collaboration and hats off to Technical Services team for their outstanding work in our first project partnership together.
