Celebrating the Future of Public Health!
Last week, the practical nursing students from Lae Nursing College who did their training at Etep Hospital, had the privilege of presenting their final year research project alongside fellow nursing students as part of their capstone assessment. It was an inspiring showcase of dedication, innovation, and a shared commitment to improving the health and wellbeing of our communities.
They were honored to have in attendance representatives from the OIC, our valued church partners, esteemed lecturers, students, other key stakeholders and our CEO, Bradley James. Their presence and engagement meant the world to the team.
A significant number of the projects focused on pressing public health issues affecting our rural populations - from access to care and health education to disease prevention and community-based interventions. It was a powerful reminder of the impact research can have when rooted in real-world challenges.
We are grateful to have supported the students and provided mentorship, and collaboration that brought them to this milestone.
At Etep, we believe in training the next generation of rural healthcare workers for the benefit of future generations.
