A workshop series entitled โ€œ Facilitating the Occupation of Feeding Across the Lifespanโ€ held last April 26,2026 had its 3rd run at the Pinnacle Hotel, Davao City. This seminar was attended by Occupational Therapist of Davao and they learned a lot from this activity.
It was conducted by master clinicians : Professor Cynthia Isaac, MEdSPED, OTRP and Hand in Hand Therapy Center Program Director, Eloisa M. Samson, OTRP, MRS. We congratulate them for the successful workshop and for sharing their expertise in assessing and managing feeding difficulties in children and adults. โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘

In their pursuit of continuous professional development, they actively engage and participate on these seminars.
More than professional learning, this event provides meaningful connection with the members of the rehabilitation team. It promotes unity and collaboration with a shared commitment of helping people suffering from dysphagia.

From the calming footsteps of our Nature Sound Walk to the creativity sparked in Leaf Shaker and Recycled Instrument Making, each activity opened a new doorway for expression. Through Community Song Sharing, Friendship Song Circle, and joyful instrument play, every child was given a voice, whether spoken, sung, or felt through sound.

These three days remind us that when children are immersed in music, they are not only learning, they are connecting and expressing in ways words alone cannot capture. โœจ

A meaningful day of learning unfolded during the Hand in Hand Therapy Center Community Tour at the Abucay, Bataan Fire Station and Public Market, where our children were given the opportunity to explore, observe, and understand the people who help keep the community safe.

With sincere appreciation, we extend our gratitude to SFO1 Reynante O. Bavi, SFO1 Angelito Maria T. Bonifacio, FO3 Jae Arc L. Ramos, and FO1 Angelo I. Macaspac for warmly spearheading the visit and generously sharing their time, knowledge, and passion for service. It was a true honor for our learners to be welcomed as the first group of children to visit the Abucay Fire Station, making the experience even more memorable for our adorable and spectacular kids.

Community tours hold a powerful role in special education. They bridge the gap between classroom lessons and real-world experiences, allowing children to learn through observation, interaction, and meaningful engagement. For many of our learners, understanding their environment becomes clearer when they can see, touch, and experience it firsthand. Through this visit, our students not only discovered the important work of firefighters but also developed a deeper sense of awareness about community helpers, safety, and responsibility.

The session on fire prevention was especially enriching. The firefighters transformed important safety lessons into engaging moments through experiential learning and creative storytelling, making complex ideas easier for the children to grasp. Stories, demonstrations, interactive discussions, singing, and dancing allowed the children to visualize situations and connect safety practices to their everyday lives. In this way, learning moved beyond instruction, it became an experience that sparks understanding, curiosity, and confidence.

To the dedicated firefighters of Abucay, thank you for opening your station and your hearts to our learners. Your patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to your field remind us that community partnerships are powerful tools in nurturing well-educated, confident, and empowered children.

Together, we continue to build a community where learning, safety, and inclusivity walk hand in hand. ๐Ÿš’โœจ
