Iwasan ang Paputok: Gabay sa Kaligtasan

🚨 Iwas Paputok, Iwas Aksidente! 🚨
Nagkaisa-1 Cagayan Para sa Kalusugan at Kaligtasan: Isang Pampublikong Paalala sa Kalusugan tungkol sa mga Panganib ng Paputok

Ang pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon ay dapat masaya at ligtas! Ngunit hindi maiiwasan ang mga aksidenteng dulot ng paputok. Handa ka ba sa First Aid?

Narito ang mahahalagang First Aid Tips mula sa aming Public Health Awareness Campaign kung paano rumesponde sa iba’t ibang uri ng pinsala at aksidenteng dulot ng paputok.

🩸 Mga First Aid Tips sa Aksidente sa Paputok:

Para sa Paso o Sugat:
Hugasan ng sabon at malinis na tubig, takpan ng isterilisadong gasa, at lagyan ng pressure upang mapigil ang pagdurugo.

Para sa Pinsala sa Mata:
Banlawan ng maligamgam na tubig, huwag kuskusin, at takpan ng malinis na tela.

Kung may Nalalanghap na Mapanganib na Kemikal (Inhalation):
Agad ilayo ang biktima sa kontaminadong lugar at bigyan ng sariwang hangin.

Kung nakalunok ng paputok (Ingestion):
Huwag pasukahin. Painumin ng hilaw na puti ng itlog.

➡️ Paalala: Sa lahat ng insidente, agad pumunta sa Health Center o Ospital para sa agarang gamutan at anti-tetanus shot (kung kinakailangan). Nakakamatay ang tetanus!

💥 Ang pinakamainam na First Aid ay pag-iwas!
HUWAG MAGPAPUTOK! Gumamit ng alternatibong paraan ng ingay at ilaw. Sama-sama nating protektahan ang ating pamilya at komunidad.

The Municipal Health Office remains steadfast in its vision to make healthcare truly accessible and inclusive for all residents of Abulug. Over the past weeks, rain or shine, our dedicated team has reached out directly to the barangays, providing essential medical consultations, diagnostic examinations and medications right where our people live. Abulug RHU is proud to be the first institution in the region to offer on-site holistic health care through delivering community-based laboratory tests, medical ultrasound procedures and other diagnostic procedures such as Xrays and ECG tests, at no cost — a testament to our commitment to improving community health.

While our primary focus continues to be disease prevention and health education, we recognize that illness can strike unexpectedly, and every individual deserves compassionate treatment when they need it most. With the unwavering support of LGU Abulug and local barangay units, we are determined to expand our reach and bring healthcare services closer to every barangay, ensuring no one is left behind.

Mind, Body, and Future: RHU ABULUG Empowers Abulug Youth!

This past week, the RHU ABULUG successfully conducted an essential series of Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) lectures for Grades 9 & 10 students! We believe that true health is holistic, covering both the body and the mind.

We reached students at: Abulug National Rural and Vocational Highschool, Abulug School of Fisheries, and Libertad National Highschool (Nov 13-17).

What We Discussed:
1. Protecting the Future: In-depth talks on STI & HIV prevention and the current teenage pregnancy status of Abulug. Our focus remains on prevention to ensure a brighter future for all our youth!
2. Caring for the Mind: Highlighting Mental Health Awareness and the practical benefits of stress management. Remember: it's okay to feel low, and it's brave to seek help.

To all the students, teachers, and school administrators: Thank you for your active participation and for creating a safe, open environment for these crucial conversations. Education is our best defense!

Let's work together to empower our youth with knowledge, responsibility, and resilience!

RHU Abulug Bloodletting Success! A Late But Heartfelt Thank You!

We know this is a few weeks late, but the RHU Abulug is still buzzing with gratitude for the incredible success of our Bloodletting Activity held on October 28, 2025, at the Abulug Health Center!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Abulug community, we are thrilled to announce we had 112 successful blood donors! Your kindness has directly replenished our blood reserves and will save lives.

A massive thank you to our partner agencies for their crucial support and coordination.

But the biggest salute goes to our Blood Donors! You are the true heroes. Maraming Salamat po! 🙏

Dugo ng Abulugeños, para sa Abulugeños

RHU Abulug, in partnership with Cagayan Valley Regional Blood Center, invites everyone to partake in our blood letting activity this coming Tuesday-October 28, 2025, at the Abulug Health Center, Libertad. May mga freebies po tayo sa ating mga life-savers.

Donating blood offers profound benefits both to the individual donor and to the wider community. For the donor, the act can serve as a mini health check-up, as blood is screened for certain conditions, providing peace of mind, while also stimulating the production of new blood cells, which can contribute to overall cardiovascular wellness (parang change oil lang sa mga ugat mo ito, fren).

Indulge in the sense of purpose and fulfillment, knowing one has made a direct, lifesaving contribution (eto yung masasabi mong hero ka in your own little way, diba?).

For society, each donation becomes a critical resource for patients in emergencies, during surgeries, or for those managing chronic illnesses, ensuring that blood is available free of charge when it is most needed- for your friends, family members and your local community in general (sagip-buhay ang ultimate goal natin, beshy!).

Give blood if you
-are in good health
-age between 16 to 65 years old
-weigh at least 50 kg
-blood pressure: Systolic 90-160 mmHg; Diastolic 60-100 mmHg
-pass the physical and health history assessment

Note: Final eligibility decision is made by the medical staff after a confidential health screening

Before giving blood
-Have enough rest and sleep at least 6 hours
-No alcohol intake 24 hours prior
-No medications for at least 24 hours prior
-Eat prior to blood donation
-Avoid fatty/oily food
-Drink plenty of fluids
