Why do we need to address the sensory system?

These tools will help in our sensory program. The sensory program will help prepare the sensory system for oral placement, feeding or speech activities, because sensory information is necessary to stimulate movement.

Days ago we received an unexpected parcel and to our surprise its a gift to our clients and a heart-warming message to all of us especially to our therapists. We are making sure that this gift will be shared to all our kids.

Why Early Intervention?

One of my favorite things to share!

We use Early Intervention to set our children up for success. To give them the support they need when they need it. The answer should NEVER be to let them struggle and become frustrated until they are so far behind that we cannot avoid it anymore.

Intervention is not bad. It’s not wrong. It doesn’t mean something is “wrong” with a child, and it shouldn’t be taboo, something to hide, or something to avoid all together.

My son had had so much success in early intervention, which he had had on and off since he was 7 months old. Not only has it helped him with his academics, but it’s helped build his confidence and improved his quality of life (which for him right now is his play skills and ability to be as independent as possible).

So if you are on the fence about getting an evaluation or taking advantage of support in any area, please DO IT! You won’t regret getting your child support, but you may regret not giving them needed support!
