We are deeply grateful for the success of the recent Blood Letting and Papsmear activities held at the Alcantara Civic Center and ABC Hall. We are pleased to announce that we had 74 successful blood donors and 75 patients who availed of the free Papsmear services.

Our heartfelt thanks go out to our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Jonathan C. Tanduyan, and Public Health Nurse Rowena G. Buhawe, RN, for their leadership and dedication in making these events possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to our Municipal Mayor, Atty. Fritz A. Lastimoso, for his unwavering support, and to Vice Mayor Hon. Larry M. Llenos for providing the delicious pospas. Special thanks to Hon. Henry Rabino for the boiled eggs, T & L Water Refilling Station for the water, and to all the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) who assisted throughout the activities.

We are also grateful to the Department of Health for conducting the Blood Letting Activity and to the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. (RAFI) for sponsoring the Papsmear Activity.

Maayong hapon kaninyong tanan. Isip parte sa atong “Alcantara Cares Program”, kita mopahigayon ug Jingle Making Contest, nga adunay temang, “Maayong Panlawas: ang BAHANDI sa Alcantara.”

Kada baranggay dapat adunay usa (1) ka representante na mo apil sa contest. Pwede kini solo o grupo. Ang gitas.on sa kanta dapat dili mo ubos sa usa ka minuto (1 minute) ug dili pud mo lapas sa usa ka minuto ug trenta segundos (1 minute and 30 seconds). Kung adunay mudool kaninyo og magpalista nga participants, palihug lang e chat diri sa group chat iyang (Pangalan, Barangay, og contact number).

Kung kinsa nga BHW ang makauna og submit sa pangalan, barangay og contact number sa gustong muapil nga participants diri sa group chat, mao kana atong final list sa mga participants.
Dapat makapasa sa ilang output ang mga representate sa kada barangay on or before July 12, 2024. Ang pag anunsyo sa mananaog, ipahigayon inig ka July 16, 2024. Ang mo daog sa maong contest mahatagan ug tsansa ipadala sa syudad para mag record sa usa ka recording studio aron e apil sa presentation inig July 31, 2024 sa culminating activity sa Nutrition Month.

Ang premyo sa maong contest:
 1st place – Php 5,000.00
 2nd place – Php 3,000.00
 3rd place – Php 2,000.00
 Consolation price - Php 1,000.00.

Kung aduna mo’y mga kaela ngna hilig mukanta, palihug lang ko og spread ani nga activity nato. Basta 1 representative each barangays lang.

Thank you to everyone who joined us earlier for this meaningful event especially to our Municipal Mayor Atty. Fritz A. Lastimoso and LGU personnel. Under the theme "TOGETHER WE REMEMBER, TOGETHER WE HEAL, THROUGH LOVE AND SOLIDARITY", we honored the lives of those affected by HIV and AIDS, shared powerful stories, and reinforced our commitment to end the stigma and discrimination.

We have heard powerful stories, messages of hope, and calls to action that remind us of the strength and resilience within our community. Let us carry these messages with us as we leave tonight, remembering that each of us has a role to play in creating a world free of HIV and AIDS stigma and discrimination.
