“Tinimbang kami, pero kulang pa rin.”

The veto of the bill converting PUP into the National Polytechnic University (NPU) feels like a heavy blow — not just to the institution, but to every iskolar ng bayan who continues to fight for accessible and quality education.

Hindi ito simpleng pangalan lang. It was recognition — sa kasaysayan, sa serbisyo, at sa tibay ng mga estudyanteng kahit laging kapos, ay patuloy na lumalaban.

Kahit ilang dekada na tayong nagpapatunay ng galing at kakayahan, bakit parang kulang pa rin?

We were weighed. We were tested. But still — not enough?

Hindi ito ang katapusan. Hindi hadlang ang veto para itigil ang laban. Patuloy tayong titindig, patuloy tayong mananawagan, at patuloy tayong magsusulong ng tunay na pagbabago sa edukasyon.

PUP. Iskolar ng Bayan. Hindi susuko.
