The Department of Health – Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Tagaytay City is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Government Internship Program (GIP).

The GIP is a collaborative initiative between the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Health (DOH), which aims to provide opportunities for young workers to serve the public through various projects and services of government agencies and offices at both the local and national levels.

The Department Of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Tagaytay City conducted a vital advocacy campaign focused on Drug Awareness, Mental Health, and HIV Education.

Through open conversations and expert-led discussions, the Brgy. Sulsugin of Alfonso, Cavite community came together to 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙨𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙢𝙖, 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡-𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜. From understanding the science of addiction to practicing mental health self-care and busting myths about HIV, knowledge truly is our best tool for a safer, healthier community.

The Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center Tagaytay City, successfully conducted a four-day Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) Training for selected program staff on April 27-30, 2026, spearheaded by the Psychology Section.

The training aimed to strengthen timely mental health response during crises and promote recovery through effective psychosocial support. Participants from various disciplines, including social workers, nurses, psychometricians, psychologists, and dormitory managers, actively engaged in the learning sessions and collaborative activities throughout the program. The trained participants proudly carried the batch name “Banaag,” symbolizing hope and the beginning of brighter possibilities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the resource speakers from the DOH CHD IV-A Mental Health Program, Ms. Geneva C. Calanog, RN, MPH; Ms. Michaela Denise B. Dimaano, RPm; Ms. Jasmine P. Cando, RPm, and our very own Ms. Emily Rose M. Prado, RPm for generously sharing their expertise, knowledge, and experiences in advancing mental health and psychosocial support services.
