Philippines’ First Open Fetal Surgery Baby Delivered Safely

The Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) has welcomed a baby boy, who is the first in the country to have undergone Open Fetal Surgery for Myelomeningocele. He was delivered via cesarean section on May 21, 2025. Both the mother and baby are currently in stable condition and are being closely monitored by PCMC.
