What makes you a better mother?

Nope, not a better mother than your neighbor, than your friend, or than the president of your local PTA…but what makes you the best mother you can be?

Because I know my purpose in life, I am growing and I am sowing seeds. I know that this mother may be sad that I miss my child’s soccer practices, but I also know there are lots of other mothers out there that are glad I did… because I was able to help their children in their time of need. And although my children may miss me at times, I know they also gain valuable lessons from my career – independence and selflessness chief among them. My children always know that I love them, and they are important to me… whether I am sitting at their bedside, or at the bedside of one of my patients.

EYE HEALTH TIPS FOR ADULTS 40 TO 65

It’s very important to get a baseline comprehensive eye exam at age 40, even if you have no symptoms or known risk factors for eye disease. This is because early signs of disease and changes in vision often begin at age 40. In a comprehensive exam, your ophthalmologist will look for signs of cataract, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration.

If you are diabetic or pre-diabetic, you need to have annual eye exams and work with your doctor to control your weight, blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol. Your ophthalmologist will recommend follow-up exams based on your family history and the results of the baseline comprehensive eye exam.



A PUBLIC ADVISORY FROM THE PHILIPPINE ACADEMY OF OPHTHALMOLOGY: Beware of unproven eye medicine, eye drops, and eye devices that are being peddled as a cure-all or prevention of the different eye conditions. Consult your ophthalmologist for the proper care of your eyes.

It's been six years!

Throwback to when I passed the Part 2 (Oral Exam) of the Philippine Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. I still remember the feeling. It was the last hurdle we had to go through para maging board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist. Grabe ang kaba kasi we had to face four panels para sa oral exam. Wagas na wagas ang pagtawag ko kay St Jude Thaddeus🙏 And after that, malalaman mo kung pasado ka if binigyan ka ng lollipop with this note before you leave the room. 😅

This will always be my most cherished lollipop! 😂

Sa gitna ng pagod at busy schedule, may mga simpleng bagay na magpapangiti talaga sayo, kukurot sayong puso, at magpapatotoo na mabuti ang mga ginagawa mo.

Another unexpected appreciation post from one of our loyal patients. Mahaba ang naging journey namin, from workup to pregnancy management to emergency delivery until postnatal checkup. Isa si momshie sa mga "uber" high risk pregnancy patients namin dahil sobrang kulit talaga ng blood pressure nya, na may kasama pang gestational diabetes and seizure disorder. Pero masayang masaya kami na naitawid namin ang journey na ito with the help of God's grace.

To momshie Bea, maraming maraming salamat po sa pagtitiwala. Our hearts are full knowing that you truly appreciate our genuine service and the role we played in fulfilling one of your dreams. Congratulations po sa inyo! 🥰
