RECAP | ANAHAWAN Health Education and Promotion Program Implementation Review
Anahawan Rural Health Unit is one with the Department of Health in it’s active promotion of health and disease prevention through various health education campaigns.
Through the support of the Local Government Unit of Anahawan, and the full force of each Barangay Local Government Units, 7 out of the 14 Barangays of the Municipality were able to spearhead various Monthly Health Celebrations from February to June of this year.
This surely proves that health is not only a shared success but a shared responsibility. And through the active participation of local leaders the community is empowered to preserve it’s health and wellness!
The following are the Barangays with their respective Health Promotion Advocacies:
📌Oral Health Awareness: BLGU Tagup-on
📌Cancer Awareness: BLGU Mahalo
📌Rabies Awareness: BLGU Lo-ok
📌BEAT THE HEAT Campaign: RHU Anahawan
📌Head and Neck Cancer Awareness: BLGU Manigawong
📌Road Safety Awareness: BLGU Poblacion
📌Kidney Health Awareness: BLGU Capacuhan
📌Diabetes Awareness: BLGU Kagingkingan
Services such as Health Lectures, Free General Check-up, Free Tooth Extraction and Dental Services, and Free Laboratory services (Urinalysis, Fasting Blood Sugar testing) were given to the participants of the events.
Kudos to the BLGUs headed by their respective Punong Barangay, Barangay Council Members, BNS, BHWs! May your desire for progress most especially in the field of health benefit more people!
