Yesterday was the Christmas party of Anahawan District Hospital and one of the highlights that is near and dear to me is the Annual Awards.
I am the only Chief of Hospital who is assigned to 3 different hospitals in Southern Leyte and wherever i am assigned, I always give recognition to the people who made a difference or distinction of themselves and I always get this reaction from people I work with that it is their first time to receive such recognition. Obviously, some were working in the same institution for 20, 30 and 35 years without getting any award at all but Dr. Roa arrived and give them their rightful acknowledgement.
This year was no different, I congratulate mam Ethel, our chief nurse for her 25 years of dedication and mam Jocelle for her 10 years of service.
I also acknowledged the people who are loyal to the flag and attends the flag ceremony regularly: mam Hasil, sir Dangi and mam Judita. Naa sila sa sulod pero makabati gyud sila sa bell para mo attend sa flag ceremony. Mabuhay kayong lahat and congratulations.
P.S. I didn't know that I was also receiving my own award for most patients seen at the OPD. I did not expect this.
