Dengue Alert

Ang dengue fever ay isang viral infection na dulot ng kagat ng lamok, partikular na ng Aedes aegypti. Kapag naglabas ng dengue alert, nangangahulugan ito na may pagtaas ng kaso o mas mataas na panganib ng pagkalat ng sakit sa ilang lugar. Narito ang ilang mahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa dengue:

Mga Sintomas:

Mataas na lagnat (madalas na biglaan)

Matinding sakit ng ulo

Pananakit ng likod ng mga mata

Pananakit ng kasu-kasuan at kalamnan (kadalasang tinatawag na "breakbone fever")

Pagduduwal at pagsusuka

Rashes sa balat

Pagdurugo (gaya ng sa gilagid o ilong)

Malalang Dengue (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever):

Sa mga malalang kaso, ang impeksyon ay maaaring magdulot ng pagtagas ng plasma, pamumuo ng likido sa katawan, hirap sa paghinga, matinding pagdurugo, o pagkasira ng mga organo, na maaaring maging sanhi ng kamatayan kung hindi maaagapan.

Mga Paraan ng Pag-iwas:

1. Alisin ang mga Pinamumugaran ng Lamok: Siguraduhing walang nakatigil na tubig sa paligid (gaya ng sa mga balde, paso, o gulong).

2. Gumamit ng Mosquito Repellent: Mag-apply ng repellents na may DEET o picaridin sa balat na hindi natatakpan.

3. Magsuot ng Protektibong Damit: Mag-suot ng mahahabang manggas, pantalon, at medyas upang maiwasan ang kagat ng lamok.

4. Gumamit ng Kulambo: Lalo na sa mga natutulog at mga bata.

5. Manatili sa Malalamig na Lugar: Mas hindi aktibo ang mga lamok sa mga lugar na may air-conditioning.

Pangkalahatang Aksyon:

Iulat agad ang mga lugar na may stagnant na tubig sa mga lokal na awtoridad.

Makilahok sa mga clean-up drive o kampanya laban sa dengue.

Mag-ingat at maging alerto sa mga sintomas ng dengue, lalo na kung nasa lugar ka na may mataas na kaso.
