On August 20, 2025, in celebration of Family Planning Month and Breastfeeding Awareness Month, the Local Government Unit of Angadanan, spearheaded by the Municipal Health Officer Princess Faith Penetrante, conducted a program for teenage pregnant women, teenage mothers, and their partners. The activity aimed to provide knowledge on raising healthy children and to address the concern of teenage repeated pregnancy
and promote adolescent health in the community.
Three speakers from the Provincial Health Office were invited to share their expertise: Krystle May Castillejo, who discussed Family Planning; Cheryl Noriega, who tackled Mental Health; and Victoria Ocampo, who shared insights on Breastfeeding and adolescent health Their lectures provided valuable information to help participants make informed and responsible choices for their health and their families.
As part of the program, a subdermal implant procedure was also conducted, giving eligible participants access to a long-acting and effective family planning method, along with free FBS/RBS screening to help monitor and promote their overall health. To further encourage participation, tokens such as tote bags, tumblers, and shirts were distributed to attendees.
The event was supported by the Municipal Mayor Joelle Mathea Panganiban and attended by the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) on Health Jimmy Rivera . Special acknowledgment was given to the fathers and partners who joined the activity, underscoring the importance of their role in promoting maternal and child health, responsible parenthood, and family well-being.
