You pass a simple object.

Then something shifts.

One by one, they spoke.
No script. No pressure.
Just real words.

“I’m grateful for you…”

Some voices shook.
Some paused.
Some broke down.

Walls dropped inside the circle.

Men who used to hide emotions started naming them.
Clients who stayed quiet found their voice.
Respect grew. Connection grew.

You saw something change right there.

Gratitude is not soft.
It takes courage to say it.
It takes strength to receive it.
And once you start, you see people differently.

Today, they didn’t just sit in a session.
They showed up for each other.

Back at it again this Monday. Delivered a session at Fortis Recovery Center. Topic, building a new life from zero.

No shortcuts. No drama. Just real talk.

We broke it down simple.
• Accept where you stand
• Focus on small wins
• Change habits daily
• Choose the right people
• Stay patient

Strong sharing from the group. Real stories. Real struggles. Real progress.

One thing stayed clear. Starting from zero is not the end. It is where the real work begins.

And yes… nobody escaped the “small wins” question 😅

💙 Recovery in Action | Step 1 Lecture

Today’s session at **Fortis Recovery and Treatment Center** focused on **Step 1** from **Narcotics Anonymous**:

“We admitted that we were powerless over our addiction, that our lives had become unmanageable.”

Recovery begins with honesty.
Through guided discussion and self-awareness activities, our residents explored their personal addiction cycles — identifying triggers, emotions, and patterns that once controlled their lives.

We are also grateful to have the **OJT 4th Year BS Psychology students from Pampanga State University** joining and observing today’s lecture. Their presence strengthens the bridge between academic learning and real-life recovery work.

Step 1 is not a sign of weakness — it is an act of courage.

At Fortis, we believe awareness is the foundation of transformation. When excuses stop, growth begins.

One day at a time. 💙

Sometimes, healing asks us to slow down and truly listen.
At Fortis Recovery & Treatment Center, we continued the lecture by discussing “The Two Roads”—exploring the choices, directions, and consequences through honest reflection and sharing.

What started as an activity became a meaningful conversation about awareness, accountability, and hope.
Recovery reminded us once again that progress happens when people are given space to reflect and be heard.

One choice.
One direction.
One day at a time. 🤍

Sometimes, healing asks us to slow down and truly listen.
Today at **Fortis Recovery & Treatment Center**, what began as a structured lecture turned into a meaningful space for expression and sharing through art.

Our residents opened up about their drawings—their struggles, their emotions, and the realities behind their addiction. Because of the depth of their sharing, we chose to pause the lecture and honor the moment.

Recovery is not always about finishing the lesson.
Sometimes, it’s about creating a safe space where stories are heard, feelings are validated, and awareness begins.

We will continue the session next week, carrying forward the insights shared today. 🤍
