How’s your mental health so far, Kayantabe?

Are you able to perform your daily tasks as efficiently as before?

Occupational therapy recognizes its role in promoting the impact of mental health to our performance of daily, meaningful activities, called occupations.

For the last 10 months, The Kayantabe Occupational Therapy Mental Health Clinic, in collaboration with the GCC, has provided services to a lot of students in addressing their mental health concerns and functioning in their daily tasks.

We are beyond thankful for allowing us to know your worries, and trusting us to help you in achieving your goals.

Gets namin… Tapos na ang election…

But the point is, kailangan pa bang pag-usapan yan?

YES!

So, we would like to share the insights of Angeleneans from our group activity entitled “Isang Yakap Para Sa Lahat: Queni, Kayantabe, Misabi Ka Ta” last Thursday (May 19, 2022).

These are some of the coping strategies of Angeleneans on dealing with the different problems brought by the election period. We hope you can learn from these, too.

Of course, we would like to thank the students who shared their thoughts last night. Dakal a salamat king pamanantabe. 💞

If you have any concerns or need help, message us in our Kayantabe page or you can email us at kayantabe.otmhclinic@auf.edu.ph

Have you been emotionally and mentally affected by the elections?

It's been days since the election day, so how are you now?

The Kayantabe Batch 5 Interns will hold a group activity for those who are emotionally affected by the aftermath of the elections. This primarily aims to serve as a safe space for all Angeleneans regardless of political stand. Our goal is to be a companion in addressing the concerns of AUF students who are struggling to perform the roles that they need, want and are expected of them in different areas of their lives due to the aftermath of the 2022 elections.

This will be held on May 19, 2022 (Thursday) at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom Cloud Meetings. If you wish to join the activity, scan the QR code for details or click this link: https://forms.gle/GVn3ETdHLCu4PZit8

Hello, Kayantabe!

Thank you for sharing your insights! The “Kayantabe Deal or No Deal Activity” was a success and the participants were able to share their experiences, insights, and solutions to different problems one might encounter during face-to-face classes.

Even if you were unable to attend the group session, here are some of the things your fellow AUF students have shared when dealing with the transition to F2F classes. We thank everyone for their participation and we hope that this experience will help in better adjusting in school.

Hoping to see you on our next group activity!

Kayantabe, what are your concerns now that we're going back to face-to-face setting?

We know that most of you are initially excited to go back to F2F when it was announced. We also know that you have apprehensions on this transition. Because of that, we want to provide a safe space for you to share your thoughts and concerns.

You can help us by answering our survey through this Google form https://forms.gle/2t5tjd9ykyV6hQRSA . If you wish to join the group activity, you can find the details in the survey form.

Thank you, Kayantabe! Allow yourself to have a restful weekend :)

What’s up Angeleneans! Kumusta kayo?

Maligayang pagbabalik sa outside world!

As schools reopen again for face-to-face classes, adjusting to the sudden change after 2 years of online classes might be an overwhelming experience to all of us. New challenges emerge as we suddenly shift from virtual to remote learning.

WIth these concerns in mind, the Batch 5 interns of the Kayantabe OT Mental Health Clinic for Students prepared a simple guide for those who are struggling to adjust in this familiar yet different experience.

We hope that this guide will help you once you go back to face-to-face classes.

The contents of the guide include the following:
Why should I be excited for F2F class?
Why am I concerned with going back to the campus?
Anticipated concerns during F2F transition
Coping strategies for when feeling anxious or dealing with negative thoughts
What and How to prepare before F2F classes

Kayantabe yu kami palagi! Should you have any concerns, feel free to message us for help.

"Tapos na kami bro, pero pasalamat pa rin ako sa kanila kasi kahit sa konting panahon (February-March), we were genuinely happy" 🥰

And that's a wrap! Thank you so much everyone, especially the Angeleneans for the love, support, and trust you have given us here in Kayantabe Clinic.
