ANO ANG HIV?

Ang HIV o Human Immunodeficiency Virus ay isang uri ng virus na umaatake sa immune system o panlaban ng katawan laban sa sakit.

MAGKAPAREHO BA ANG HIV AT AIDS?

Hindi magkapareho ang HIV at AIDS.
Ang HIV ay ang virus, samantalang ang AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome) ay isang kundisyon na nangyayari kapag labis nang humina ang immune system dahil sa HIV.
Kapag nasa AIDS stage na, mas madali nang dapuan ng iba’t ibang impeksyon o sakit na maaaring maging delikado sa buhay.

ANO ANG APAT (4) NA LIKIDONG MAY MATAAS NA KONSENTRASYON NG HIV?

Ang HIV ay matatagpuan sa mataas na konsentrasyon sa mga sumusunod na likido:
• Dugo
• Semilya o s***m
• Vaginal fluid
• Gatas ng ina (breastmilk) mula sa HIV-positive na nanay

PAANO NAKUKUHA ANG HIV?

Ang HIV ay maaaring makuha sa pamamagitan ng:
1. Pakikipagtalik na walang proteksyon tulad ng condom
2. Paggamit ng karayom o syringe na kontaminado ng HIV
3. Paglipat mula sa HIV-positive na buntis papunta sa kanyang sanggol sa panahon ng pagbubuntis, panganganak, o pagpapasuso

HINDI NAKUKUHA ANG HIV SA MGA SUMUSUNOD:

Hindi naipapasa ang HIV sa pamamagitan ng:
• Dumi
• Laway
• Pawis
• Luha
• Pagyakap o pakikipagkamay
• Pagbibigay o pagdo-donate ng dugo
• Kagat ng lamok o iba pang insekto
• Paglangoy sa swimming pool

ANO ANG MGA SINTOMAS NG HIV AT AIDS?

Kadalasan, walang agarang sintomas ang HIV.
Nakikita lamang ang epekto nito kapag humina na ang resistensya ng katawan at nagkakaroon na ng madalas o malulubhang impeksyon—ito ang yugto na maaaring mauwi sa AIDS.

Magpa-test at magpa-konsulta. Ito ay confidential. Maaaring magtungo sa:

𝗔𝗡𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗚𝗞𝗔𝗞𝗔𝗜𝗕𝗔 𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗜𝗩 𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗗 𝗛𝗜𝗩 𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗘?
Ang HIV ay isang virus na sumisira sa T-cells ng katawan. Kapag hindi ginamot, humihina ang immune system ng isang tao at hindi na nito kayang labanan ang mga impeksyon at sakit.
Ang Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) ay huling yugto ng HIV infection. Nangyayari ito kapag sobrang dami na ng nasirang T-cells at lubos nang humina ang immune system. Sa yugtong ito, mas mataas ang panganib ng opportunistic infections gaya ng tuberculosis, fungal infections, at iba pang malubhang sakit.
Huwag Maghintay. Alamin ang HIV Status Mo sa pinakamalapit na HIV Testing Facility.
