Jaw bone resorption can be prevented from thinning or resorption. A bone graft is placed inside the open socket and it is covered with a thin membrane to facilitate fast healing. Within 2-3 months. if normal healing takes place, the bone grafting becomes integrated into the jawbone. The ridge preservation prevent bone loss in horizontal and vertical dimension, hence the ridge remained intact long after the tooth has been removed. COMPOSITE RESIN RESTORATION of cervical caries.
The cavities on the neckline of teeth are of muti-factoral causes such as poor oral hygiene, which melts down the enamel covering due to acid by-products of plaque. Another factor is mechanical, too much force exerted when brushing and flossing the teeth abrade the enamel as well as the dentin layer. The other factor is developmental anomaly, wherein the enamel failed to reach its maturation phase making it soft and prone to bacterial infiltration and abrasion. Modern light-cured machine has made the restoration PAINLESS and easy thru composite resin bonding system which comes in different shades and product preparation. Naturally, small cavities become bigger and if left unattended for prolong period, it will deepen causing severe discomfort and sometimes one has to undergo Root Canal Theraphy for that matter.

A stressfful job like mining could cause tooth grinding while sleeping. Such friction and
pressure on opposing teeth rubbing each other could undermine the tooth structures. One usually wakes up in the morning with tired and sometimes sore cheek muscles and painful teeth. The usual clinical signs and sypmtoms are usually seen as worn-out enamel, broken or jagged teeth, cracked or worn-out fillings. In severe cases, a deviation of bite either to the right or to the left occurs.
