It's no secret that dark chocolate is chock full of antioxidants and has a whole host of health benefits, but did you know that it can help lower your risk of stroke and heart attack?
A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that people who ate a little more than an ounce of dark chocolate every day had a significantly lower risk of cardiovascular disease than those who didn't.
And in case you were wondering how much "a little more" is, they found that roughly 30% of the participants were eating less than an ounce per day—so if you're on the fence about whether or not to add it to your diet, we'd say go for it!
