A VICTORIOUS CELEBRATION OF INCLUSION AND EMPOWERMENT!
In line with the National Disability Rights Week, we proudly mark the successful implementation of PWD Got Talent 2.0 and PhilHealth Registration for PWDs 21 years old and above, and other abled individuals held last July 20, 2025 at SM Center Antipolo Downtown!
With a total of 370 participants along with their loving parents and guardians, this event became a true celebration of diversity, talent, and accessible healthcare.
PWD Got Talent 2.0 was a heartwarming and empowering showcase that brought together 60 inspiring PWD participants from various disability sectors, support groups, organizations, and schools. The event proudly featured talents from institutions such as Antipolo City SPED School, led by the ever-supportive Principal Marilyn Castro and SPTA; Sta. Cruz Elementary School (SPED), under the leadership of SNED Head Ms. Liza Mistica; and Bagong Nayon I Elementary School, headed by the dedicated Principal Dr. Ferdinand B. Millan. Their unwavering support and commitment helped make this celebration of ability, inclusion, and resilience truly meaningful and unforgettable.
Special thanks to all the dedicated SPED teachers who wholeheartedly assisted and taught the PWD kids. Your patience, compassion, and commitment to their growth and learning make a lasting impact, and we are truly grateful for your invaluable support.
Note: The photos of the children shared in this project were taken with the permission of their parents or guardians.
Meanwhile, the PhilHealth Registration provided on-site assistance to PWDs and abled individuals aged 21 and above, helping them access government healthcare benefits more efficiently.
A special salute to Ms. Marian Rivera-Dantes for her generosity in donating 10 wheelchairs and gift packs to our beloved PWDs; a gesture that truly embodies compassion and care.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Carmen Reyes Zubiaga, former NCDA Director and President of WOW LEAP, for being the key person who made it possible for the CORE Group to connect with PhilHealth and Ms. Marian Rivera Dantes. Your unwavering support, generosity, and dedication to empowering the PWD community have opened doors to meaningful partnerships and lasting impact. Your role in bridging these vital connections has been instrumental in the success of our advocacy, and we are truly honored and grateful for your trust and guidance.
