Wana from Myanmar is seen here doing a wellness check today in a mountain community. He is currently completing studies in medical school. His vast knowledge and experience working in both Myanmar and Thailand and in different parts of the Philippines makes him well suited for the task of leading our EMTs.

Here's Ate Carol, one of our workers, facilitating a Community Health Education (CHE) Group. With as much as we do to help meet basic medical needs or to advocate for patients as they navigate the government and charity system, our number 1 priority will always be empowerment. By teaching various topics, not just about issues such as diarrhea or hypertension but even household finance or agriculture, we hope to multiply our small efforts exponentially.

The team was out in Quiapo at the Manila Golden Mosque for Brenley’s last day serving with us. It’s been a fantastic run but we know we’ve made a lifelong friend. She has done an amazing job loving the people that we see on a regular basis. And she has fit right in with our other adventurers. We hope she takes a little bit of the Philippines back with her to Florida as she continues on in graduate school. The team is looking forward to the next time she comes back out. Thank you for serving Brenley!

You can’t make them out but our Quiapo Outreach team can be seen at the stairs about to head down when this happened. Thanking God that nobody was hurt.

While other members of our team went to the Golden Mosque to pick up pregnant mothers and bring them to Hope Alive — one of our partner organizations — to assist them with childbirth, medical check-ups, and ultrasounds, the rest of the team stayed behind to prepare the necessary supplies and resources for their care. This initiative is a vital step in ensuring that each mother receives the proper attention and support throughout her pregnancy. Through this collaboration, we move closer to our mission of sharing God’s love and compassion with every family we serve.

From the world’s most crowded city streets, to the depths of marine ecosystems, to remote mountain villages untouched by electricity…all in just three days. Every week, our teams move through environments as diverse as the people we meet.
It’s not just work, it’s an adventure we love living, over and over again.
