Another kwentong i-fern. This time about my dad naman.
Some of you might wonder bakit isang doctor todo magpromote ng i-Fern products? Hindi na ba sapat yung kinikita nya sa pagdu-duktor kaya suma-sideline sya?

The years I dedicated to my medical training did not prepare me for the moment I found out that my father has cancer.
Last March 2023, he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Paano nalaman? Nagkaroon lamang sya ng isang episode ng pagdumi na may halong dugo. Fresh blood na approximately half cup ang dami. Pero bago yung araw na yun, wala talaga syang kahit anong sintomas.
The following day, nagpatingin siya sa hospital. He underwent colonoscopy and biopsy ng laman na kinuha sa bituka nya. After 3 days, follow up check up, nakuha na yung result ng tests.
Sa colonoscopy, sabi sa resulta may mga polyps na nakita sa kanyang bituka. Yung biopsy result naman sinabi na yung polyps na inexamine ay ADENOCARCINOMA. Ibig sabihin, cancerous ang mga nakitang polyps.
Dahil maaga nadetect ang kanyang sakit, stage I colorectal cancer palang, opera lang ang gagawin, no need for chemotherapy. Pinutol ang part ng bituka na may cancer.
Dahil wala naman niresetang gamot, and hindi din inadvise na magchemotherapy, ang payo lang ng doctors nya is panatilihin lang na healthy si daddy. Iwas stress, eat healthy, exercise, etc. And then after 1 year kailangan ulitin ang colonoscopy to check if umulit ang cancer nya. Kasi ppwede umulit ang cancer kung hindi sya healthy.
Ito na yung reason why I started him on i-Fern vitamins and supplements. i-Fern products yung ipinainom ko sa daddy ko. Sa umaga, 2 capsules of FERN-D plus 2 capsules of FERN-ACTIV para masigla sya. Ang coffee ng daddy ko FernCoffee para may vitamins din. Yung coffee nya may halo na 1 sachet of F-Collagen daily dahil maganda yun sa intestines. Sa tanghali, 2 capsules of FERN-E, vitamin E para antioxidant. Sa gabi naman, 2 capsules of FERN-D plus 2 capsules of MilkCa calcium for stronger bones. Prone kasi ang cancer patients maging marupok ang buto.
Kaya last March 2024, a year after his cancer surgery, ginawa ang repeat colonoscopy and biopsy. No evidence of cancer. May nakita lang na konting infection, but that is common sa adults. He was just prescribed antibiotics for 7 days. Pero walang polyp, walang bukol, WALANG CANCER.
As a doctor, I really believe na nakatulong ang ininom ni daddy na vitamins and supplements para sya ang maging cancer-free. Kasi when your body lacks vitamins, prone ka magka sakit. Before kasi yung diagnosis nya ng cancer, hindi sya umiinom ng kahit anong vitamins.
