A Registered Psychologist, award-winning professor, and mental health advocate, Sir Rainier is the founder of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭, a widely followed platform that promotes accessible, ethical, and psychologically safe mental health practices. With extensive experience in media, education, and psychological support for film and television productions, he continues to champion inclusive and safe spaces for all.

𝐏𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 ❤️

Last February 12, 2026, as part of the Love Month celebration, the Guidance and Counseling Office, in partnership with the Peer Facilitators Organization and CESO, conducted an outreach activity at Tahanan ni Sta. Luisa in Golden Hills, Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City.

With hearts ready to serve, our Peer Facilitators spent the day sharing meaningful moments through interactive activities, games, storytelling, and heartfelt conversations with the children. More than the smiles and laughter, the visit became a reminder that love is best expressed through presence, compassion, and genuine connection.

Aligned with the spirit of Valentine’s season, this outreach was not only about giving gifts, but about sharing time, kindness, and hope. Through simple yet meaningful acts of care, we continue to promote empathy, service, and community engagement among our student leaders.

This initiative also supports 𝐒𝐃𝐆 3 (𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥-𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠) by fostering emotional support and positive social connections, 𝐒𝐃𝐆 5 (𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲) by promoting inclusive and respectful spaces for all, and 𝐒𝐃𝐆 17 (𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬) through collaboration between the school, student organizations, and the community.

𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐊𝐚? 𝐀 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐇𝐒

Last January 28 and 30, the Guidance and Counseling Office, together with the Peer Facilitators, conducted a room-to-room Guidance Campaign on Mental Health Orientation for our Senior High School students.

The campaign highlighted how essential mental health is during the SHS years—a stage filled with academic demands, personal growth, and life transitions. Through short classroom discussions, students were reminded that their feelings are valid and that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Most importantly, we shared where and how students can seek support, including the services of the Guidance Office and the role of Peer Facilitators as trained students who are ready to listen, guide, and connect them to proper help when needed.

By bringing this conversation directly into classrooms, we aim to strengthen a school culture where students feel informed, supported, and never alone.

As the year draws to a close, it is the perfect moment to reflect on the remarkable journey of Peervolution — an organization built on collaboration, learning, and mutual growth.

This semester has been a testament to the power of collective effort and the incredible bonds formed when peer facilitators come together with a shared purpose.

Thank you also to our Esteemed Resource Speaker 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒉 𝑮. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒛, 𝑷𝒉𝑫𝒄, 𝑹𝑷𝒎, 𝑹𝑷𝒔𝒚, a clinic owner, the Mapagkalinga Psychosocial Services for sharing his invaluable learnings and thoughts during a seminar entitled: “𝑷𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓: 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒊𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒄 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆” held last December 18, 2025 as one of the highlights of the celebration.

As we approach the end of the year, the Guidance Staff from WCC Antipolo City and Quezon City attended the 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓-𝑬𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌𝒔𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 held last December 17, 2025 at the Guidance Office of WCC Quezon City.

It aimed to foster camaraderie, celebrate the team’s collective efforts, and strengthen collaboration as we prepare for the upcoming year. We are grateful for the challenges that have strengthened us, the successes that have uplifted us, and the lessons learned along the way. Our achievements are not only the result of individual effort but also the support and encouragement of those around us.

The end of the year offers an opportunity to set new goals, renew our commitments, and seek wisdom for the journey ahead.

On December 15–16, 2025, 𝙈𝙨. 𝘿𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡, 𝙍𝙋𝙢, attended the PeerKada Vibe: Building Healthy Connections, Nurturing Inclusive and Supportive Spaces, a Peer Facilitators Program for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) held at La Breza Hotel, Quezon City.

This two-day program was made possible through the valuable partnership of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), UNILAB Foundation, and HeadsUpPH, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing mental health awareness, peer support, and inclusive spaces within higher education institutions.

The training strengthened peer facilitation competencies, promoted psychosocial well-being, and reinforced collaborative approaches in supporting students’ mental health. Participation in this program further equips guidance and counseling professionals with effective strategies to foster safe, inclusive, and supportive academic environments.

We extend our appreciation to CHED and the UNILAB Foundation for their continued support in empowering Peer Facilitators and promoting mental health initiatives in higher education. 💙✨

The Guidance and Counseling Office will be holding a Year-End Celebration to all Peer Facilitators Organization Members on December 18, 2025 (Thursday) from 11:30 am - 4:00 pm at the AVR.

It aims to celebrate the accomplishments within the first semester of the S.Y. 2025 - 2026, further strengthening camaraderie among its members, acknowledge the efforts and dedication of members through awarding and appreciation activities and to encourage motivation and engagement for the upcoming semester by fostering unity within the organization.

We are honored to welcome our Esteemed Resource Speaker 𝑱𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒉 𝑮. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒛, 𝑷𝒉𝑫𝒄, 𝑹𝑷𝒎, 𝑹𝑷𝒔𝒚 a registered psychologist and psychometrician. He has finished his master's degree in Clinical Psychology in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and he is currently finishing his PhD in Clinical Psychology in Far Eastern University. He is a clinic owner, the Mapagkalinga Psychosocial Services. He is partnered with some LGUs in Rizal province in providing trauma-informed care practices in providing mental health services and support to the community.

He is a trauma specialist. He has been in practice for more than 15 years. He has helped children and adolescents, and adults who were victims of abuse and have been displaced because of natural calamity or man made events. He is a CBT specialist in depression and substance abuse. He is a PAP certified professional in Clinical, Assessment, and Counseling.

He is an active member of the PAP, PMHA, EMDR Philippines, and International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professionals.
