AKAP RECAP [SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM]

February 16, 2026 | 11:30 AM | School Grounds

Antipolo City Senior High School successfully conducted its School Feeding Program for S.Y. 2025–2026 entitled “Batang Busog sa Nutrisyon, Handa sa Bagong Pilipinas.” The initiative emphasized the importance of proper nutrition in helping students stay healthy, active, and ready to learn.

The program opened with a prayer led by Dr. Phillip Ramir L. Punzalan (SGH HUMSS–Social Science), followed by the National Anthem played by ICT. School Head Liza L. Banayo delivered the Welcome Remarks, while Megan Hilen Villamar, SBFP Coordinator, presented the Statement of Purpose. Closing remarks were given by Maria Theresa SG. Oliveros, Clinic Teacher. Guiding the event smoothly as Master of Ceremony was Pantaleon Mark Aldrin A.

As AKAP Advocate Kindness Assistance To Peers we believe that caring for one another goes beyond words. Supporting programs like this means supporting the well-being of every ACHSian. A nourished student is not only busog in katawan, but also stronger in spirit and more confident in learning.

Together, we continue to promote compassion, health, and a community where no one is left behind.

AKAP RECAP [ASH WEDNESDAY]

Today, our school community solemnly observed Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. Students, teachers, and staff gathered to receive ashes on their foreheads a symbol of repentance, humility, and reflection. Following our usual school tradition, many attended the Mass, offered personal intentions, and spent quiet moments in prayer around the campus as we began this 40-day journey of faith.

Ash Wednesday reminds us to pause, reflect, and realign our hearts to pray with sincerity, practice self-discipline, and extend kindness to others.

As AKAP Advocate Kindness Assistance To Peers we are reminded that Lent is not only about personal sacrifice, but also about compassion. This season, may we choose to forgive more easily, help more willingly, and care more deeply for the people around us. Let this Lenten journey be a time not only of reflection, but of action spreading understanding, empathy, and support within our school community.

💌✨ AKAP LOVE EXPRESS: 240 Hearts Delivered! ✨💌

Good evening, ACHSIANS!

Guess what? Out of 240 printed bulletins and love letters, every single one was sent and posted today. Yes, 240. Ubos. Sold out ang pagmamahal. 😌💘

Our booth may not have been the biggest or the fanciest, pero grabe ang kilig at good vibes na naipon doon. From secret admirers, to besties hyping each other up, to simple appreciation letters bawat message may dalang ngiti.

Kung may mga nag-confess today… hindi po kami responsible sa mga bagong love story. Pero you’re welcome. 😂

But beyond the kilig and jokes, we’re truly happy to have been part of your special moments. Even if just a few letters made someone’s day lighter, brighter, or happier that already means so much to us.

This is what AKAP stands for: spreading kindness, love, and empathy to our fellow ACHISIANS. 💛 Hindi lang letters ang pinadala natin positivity, courage, at appreciation din.

Thank you for letting us celebrate love in all its forms with you. Until the next delivery… keep choosing kindness. 💌✨

We’re once again… late™.
Not late to class (hopefully), but fashionably late with this post 😌
Still, better late than never just like figuring out your future, right?

Last February 5, ACSHS held its Career Fair for Grade 12 students, and AKAP was right there, cheering you on as you stood at that big, scary, exciting question:
“What now?”

With the theme “Strengthening Transformative Career Guidance on SHS Exits in the Age of Modern Technology and Artificial Intelligence,” the event was all about helping students prepare for life after senior high college, work, business, or wherever your path takes you.

The program opened with Principal II Mrs. Liza L. Banayo, followed by Guidance Counselor II Ms. Eleanor Ann R. Sierra, who reminded everyone that there’s no single “correct” path—only informed and intentional choices.

We heard from PESO speakers Ms. Vitalonia G. Lacbay and Mr. Marvin A. Gadateo about employment opportunities, while DTI, represented by Ms. Leslie Cabunsan, showed that entrepreneurship is very much an option.
And of course, Mr. Joseph Wilson Tan of PSBA reminded us that while we’re figuring ourselves out, our parents are too and that understanding goes both ways.

Between all the serious thinking, AKAP made sure there was space to breathe, dream, and have fun.
💛 AKAP’s Photo Booth captured your smiles
💭 The Dream Board held your goals, hopes, and “one day” plans
🎁 Plus other activities around the school with little things you could bring home small keepsakes, big memories

Because sometimes, you don’t just need advice.
Sometimes you need a reminder that your dreams are valid, and you’re not alone figuring things out.

Add in performances by COOKSTEMAKAP and the AKAP Dancers, a career ramp full of future doctors, engineers, artists, and leaders, and visits from different colleges and universities and suddenly, the future didn’t feel so far away.

So yes, this post is late™.
But your dreams? They’re right on time.

With you in every step,

💚 MINDSET MATTERS 💚
✨ A special AKAP segment featuring messages from your favorite school staff and teachers! ✨
🎙️ Today’s Word of Wisdom comes from: Dhyna Denolan, School Librarian

Q1: How can you or your or your office contribute in building a mentally healthy school environment?

I think our school library can also support in building mentally healthy environment, aside from promoting literacy and the love of reading or an area for studying, this also gravitates the well-being of our students as they read books especially the fictional books, whereas different themes , messages and tones can be learned from what they've read, and found a sort of realization or enlightenment on their personal feelings or perspective.

Sometimes I really have some random interviews with the students who visited the library and looked for this kind of book, and spent time to read like fictional books. I asked them why would they love to read that kind of book? And some answered, "Ma'am it is really my favorite genre and it gives me a relief from stressful situations" And there were two students who borrowed a Bible, and I asked them why did they want to read a Bible, one answered, "Ma'am I want to read the book of Revelation, because it seems to be real nowadays" and the other one answered, "Ma'am I like the Bible verses from the book of Psalm, it gives me hope to continue and go on with my life despite struggles that I am having now.”

As a library-in-charge, I also learned from those students, and it came to my realization that a library is not only an avenue of learning from reading but also a room where you can find hope amidst struggling circumstances. And I am grateful for those students who boldly shared their intentions of reading books and continued their reading and study habits in the library.

📚 Through the thoughtful insights of Ma’am Dhy na Denolan, we’re reminded that the library is more than just a place for books, it’s a sanctuary for reflection, emotional growth, and quiet healing. Her everyday encounters with students reveal how stories, scripture, and study can offer comfort and clarity during difficult times. 💚 At AKAP, we honor these safe spaces and the people who nurture them. Let’s continue to build a school environment where every ACHSians feels empowered to seek hope, express themselves, and find peace in the pages they turn. 🌈✨
