"As the leading institution para sa mental health care sa bansa, ang NCMH ay may dalawang mahalagang responsibilidad: una, magbigay ng komprehensibong serbisyo sa mga service users nito, at pangalawa, lumikha ng isang workplace na nagtataguyod ng physical, emotional, at psychological well-being ng mga empleyado nito."
Ayon sa pinakabagong datos ng Philippine Statistics Authority (2023), higit 70% ng mga healthcare workers sa Pilipinas ang nagsabing nakararanas sila ng moderate to high levels ng job-related stress. Bukod pa rito, isang pag-aaral ng Department of Health noong 2022 ang nagpakita na mas vulnerable ang mga empleyado sa public hospitals sa burnout, anxiety, at depressionโlargely due to excessive workloads, extended working hours, and limited psychosocial support.
In response, the NCMH continues to take meaningful steps toward creating a healthier and more supportive work environment. Through the integration of mental health programs, the promotion of a culture grounded in empathy and mutual respect, and the strengthening of employee wellness initiatives, we remain committed to ensuring that our workforce is cared for, empowered, and heard.
