🩺 Midwife Duties

A midwife is a healthcare professional who provides care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and after delivery. Her key responsibilities include:

🌸 During Pregnancy ✔️ Examine and follow up pregnant women
✔️ Monitor mother and fetal health
✔️ Provide advice on nutrition, medications, and precautions
✔️ Identify danger signs and refer to a doctor when needed

🤱 During Labor ✔️ Conduct normal (natural) deliveries
✔️ Help manage labor pain
✔️ Ensure safety of both mother and baby
✔️ Provide emergency care and timely referral

👶 After Delivery (Postpartum) ✔️ Monitor bleeding and infections
✔️ Provide essential newborn care
✔️ Guide and support breastfeeding
✔️ Support mother’s physical and mental health

As part of our Year-End Event, SBI Medical & Animal Bite Center & Vaccination Clinic was blessed to celebrate a Holy Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jovargas Vergara on December 12, 2025, held at Luljetta’s Hanging Gardens Spa and Garden Suites.

It was a meaningful time to give thanks for the blessings, guidance, and teamwork that sustained us throughout the year, and to offer prayers for continued strength, unity, and compassion as we move forward in service to our community.

May our work always be guided by faith, purpose, and a heart for service.

Qualifications:
✅ Registered Midwife with valid PRC license
✅ With experience in Lying-In or birthing clinic (an advantage)
✅ With trainings are advantage (Bmonc, Newborn Screening, EINC, Fp1 & Fp2)
✅ Knowledgeable in prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care
✅ Compassionate, responsible, and team-oriented
✅ Willing to work on shifting schedule, weekends, and holidays

Duties and Responsibilities:
🩺 Conduct prenatal check-ups and monitor pregnant patients
👶 Assist in normal deliveries and newborn care
📋 Maintain complete and accurate patient records
💊 Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
🧼 Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the delivery room and equipment
🤱 Provide health education to mothers and families

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed guest speaker, Sir Jomell V. Mojica, RN, MPH, Nurse V and DOH Regional NRPCP Coordinator, for sharing valuable insights and updates on the current situation of human rabies and animal bite cases in CALABARZON.

This meaningful seminar strengthened our commitment to responsible, quality, and evidence-based healthcare, as we continue to serve and protect our communities against rabies.
